I just want to say first....you are delightful and absolutely gorgeous. Secondly I agree with everything you covered in this video. Certain looks just doesn't work for us over 50 anymore. I'm 58yrs old I didn't start wearing makeup until my early forties. I guess I've been lucky so far that I don't have wrinkles around my eyes.....yet, but that skin has gotten loose for sure. I'm happy to see someone that can relate and address some of the issues more mature women experience with our makeup. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.

When I was young I rocked dramatic winged eyeliner every day and when I felt like returning to it I was SO disappointed that my old techniques now looked awful - and were so much harder to do! I always had quite crepey eyes even when young but I used to be able to do liquid liner, sweep sweep done. Now it just does not work. I really like this channel!

This is so wonderfully reinforcing something I worked out for myself a while ago - and keep ignoring on occasions when I want really "dramatic" eyes! It just doesn't work the way it used to, and taking that line straight up and drawing a little triangle DOES! From now on, having watched you do the other techniques and revealed exactly the same less flattering results I get, I am sticking with my straight-up line!

Great tips! I noticed my eye skin getting loose and saggy when I was in my 40’s. I love the look of a winged eye but it never worked on me (I did try the tape trick, lol)! I’ll have to try your method and see if I can do it. Lately, I haven’t been wearing makeup, thankfully, I’ve always had nice skin and never really wore foundation. But, the new formula of the creamy eyeliners are horrible for me. I’ve tried multiple brands and price points and while they start out okay, they end up drying out and crumbling and I’m left with little balls of the color all over my eye area… and, it always gathers in my tear duct in the inner corner of my eyes. I miss the old pencils from the 80’s! I’d use a lighter to warm them up and they’d apply beautifully!!! Thank you for sharing! 💜

I would say that, as a "mature" woman I would use a black, navy or grey eye shadow instead of liner, because it can be blended very easily to create a softer look. Always love your videos.

Which is better for a mature eye as an eyeline? I use powder eye shadow. Should I shy away from the powder and begin using gel or a crayon eyeliner? I an 60 years old. I don't have allot of wrinkles around my eyes. My eyes are an almond shape and they are very large.

Same here - I switched from pencils and crayons a few years ago and finally started using that darkest color in the shadow palette (that I used to throw away) for the liner. Now I wet my brush to get the full pigment and depth of the color, and it glides on much better, too! For me, the pencils were dragging and pulling my skin and the liquid liners are just too harsh. Using a wet powder line gives you the impact of liner without the harshness! If you do try a gel or crayon, let me know which one you like, please?!!!! Thx and have a beautiful day!

I am definitely going to try your eyeliner tip on my 57 year old eyes and see how it looks! Fabulous tips and video!! Works and looks beautiful on you however, I always tight line in black on top, and eyeshadow to smooth things down, in the lower waterline also black (it looks better on me) but, not all the way to the corners of my eyes (that is a big no no), just some shimmer eye shadow in the corners of my eyes to brighten things up, like you I did a permanent eyeliner tattoo years ago (regrets I have a few) lol Have a great weekend!
