Bought one for my teenage granddaughter as she wants to come out and give it ago, thought this would be ideal, great rod although I will improve the handle as I have built rods in the past. Worth every penny, 👍
@fishinghinny3 ай бұрын
Yeh the handle is too thin, but can be easily sorted. Good to hear that another female will be joining the ranks, I hope she enjoys fishing as much as I do 👍🎣🐟

Hi Danielle. I've bought one of the ngt profilers and thought the butt end needed a handle too. I bought a grip from guides and blanks online. Model Number TGS23/125-13.5. It's a duplon tapered grip with an internal diameter of 13.5mm. It's a perfect fit. Just slide it on with plenty of washing up liquid. It's only £1.68 but delivery is £3.95 but worth it. P.s ...I watch all your videos keep up the good work..Best regards...Ian

Eyemouth has been hard fishing this year and last apart from 1 or 2 exceptions , and the broken bottles and rubbish on the marks is getting beyond a joke and anybody that sees people doing it,, get them told ,, still a really cracking place to fish tho ,, well done getting out for a go 👍🎣 cheers

Thank you Yeh it’s such a shame that a few people have no respect for the places they fish, thankfully it’s the minority 👍

Christening the new rod is always good fun. I once bought a new fly rod and went fishing, first cast I hooked and landed a fish, that fish won me £50 and paid for half of my new rod, it caught many more after that day. Keep at it Dannielle, you are always a pleasure to watch and you always entertain us. X. Alan.

New rod day is always good, especially when its christened on day one - well done🎣 You are absolutely right about a heavier rated spinning rod being better for some purposes but has less finesse for working a light lure!

I got the madfish stinger spin 10ft 40-80g 2 piece rod about 4/5 year ago when I was starting out from boyes and its still going to this very day. Think it only cost me about £15 and I got the display rod free with it because the tip was snapped. Very handy shop for anyone starting out been looking at this travel rod been temped for last few weeks 😂

Keep up the awesome videos lass , might see you at Eyemouth sometime. I am just up the road in east Lothian

Canny little session. I've been after one them travel rods since Sparta mentioned them but there's never been any of the travel rods left in the Boyes I went to around South Tyneside. I've took a day off work on Wednesday and I'm taking the grandbairn off that very spot and he's yet to catch a mackerel so fingers crossed.
@fishinghinny3 ай бұрын
Thanks Jim There was only the one in store when I got mine (Cramlington) but you can get them on eBay and from the NGT Fishing site too. Tight lines to you and the bairn, it’ll be great for him to get his first mackerel - that’ll be him hooked 👍🎣🐟

Nice one Dannielle. That's a mark I wanna try bait fishing one night in the winter. Them rods are great for the money I'm pleased you got one, and you are spot on about it, its definitely a more of a lift and draw rod rather than a twitcher, however, in strong current it really serves you well and pulling in a big pollock they're fantastic, really strong.. My mate put some cork round the bottom of his to help out on the comfort thing. The other thing its superb at is casting like you mentioned as it recovers almost immediately, and it absolutely bangs out a 26g Patchenko if you ever fish for Bass on the surface. Speak Soon. Sparta 👍
@fishinghinny3 ай бұрын
Hi Steve Yeh, I bought it on your recommendation - I’ll probably get the lighter version too (10-40g) it would certainly get used, and I’ve been told you can never have too many rods 😆 We can have a night sesh there when the cod come back in later in the year 🤩👍🎣🐟

£22, are you serious? That looks like a lot of rod for the price. Looking at it you might think that it was 3 times that price. Must have been a blast seeing those dolphins Danielle. Just come back from Cornwall for 2 weeks, mackerel were very thin on the ground in fact caught more bass than mackerel. Love joining you on your fishing trips. Until the next one ❤️🐟
