thanks for another really enjoyable video, I loved the bit of "chucking a hand line down the side" I'm 79 and still remember my dad taking me fishing with his hand line to the old pier in Sunderland in the early 50's and catching codling which to me looked bigger than "Moby Dick", you brought back some wonderful memories -thank you.

Hi. Ragworms and lugworms you are using, are you digging them or buying? As far as I know you live in Hamilton area, same as I. Sometimes Glasgow Angling Centre stock rags but not often and it is 30 min away from where I live. When I finish in east coast I usually digging lugs on Belhaven Beach (river estuary)
@fishinghinny21 сағат бұрын
Hi I live down in Blyth, Northumberland. I buy my lug and rag from shop, and local digger- I should try digging my own sometime, but it looks like hard work 😆

@fishinghinny21 сағат бұрын
Hi Nick Haha yeh I’ve seen a few people have been trying for squid, I think it’s more down south in the slightly warmer water - maybe I should give it a try when it warms up next year. Hope the waters clear up for you soon and you get into some good fish 🤞

Just an idea.But would be great if some of the KZbinrs. Made a video for disabled anglers.places that are easy to get and places where you can park your car close by etc. just an idea
@fishinghinny21 сағат бұрын
Hi Ray, a couple of places which are easy access would Blyth river where you can literally fish from your car. Amble prom has parking right next to it with plenty of space all along the prom to fish from. Also St Peter’s Basin in Newcastle, you can park really close to the river, just a few yards from where you can fish near the houses. I have videos of all those marks, and I’ll try to remember to mention access and parking etc for future videos 😊👍🎣

If you type hole in the wall Blyth in to google maps, that's where the car park is, it's just short of 900M to the bend where Hinny was fishing.

Thanks Neil Great on the Thornback 🤩👍 Parking is on the right, just as you turn in off the main road. Walk to pier is no more than ten mins along well lit road. Fish anywhere along the pier, I prefer just around the bend, but fish do get caught right up to just behind the breakers.
