Always slide the tire under the car just in case the jack fails.

Very , very excellent. A Note from an old guy, always use baby oil to clean you hands and use a dead fall incase the vehicle shifts and the jacks tip over. A dead fall is a block of wood or concrete that prevents the vehicle from falling to the pavement. Keep up the good work you will do well.

... baby oil... Interesting 🤔 I get the concept, that the baby oil dilutes the first harder oil... And then you just use dish detergent to get the baby oil off. I'll have to try that. Thanks!

Nice work kid. I'm surprised you didn't have to remove the alternator to get to the ac compressor. Props to your dad for teaching/getting you involved in car repairs. Kids your age are usually on their phones or gaming and don't even know how to fill air in tires.

Thanks again, this is the second AC compressor I've replaced on a couple different older Honda's using your video as my primary "How to" reference. I've also used your other video's on manual starting of clutch to service the system. Great Job, I can't say Thank You enough.

Kudos Aiman--great video! BTW: you can protect the exposed surface of the radiator by taping a piece of cardboard (plexiglass, thin hardboard, paneling, etc.) over the exposed surface. Also the plastic underside piece shown after time stamp 1:05 is called a (front lower engine) Splash Shield. and the long specialized tool for removing the serpentine drive belt (time stamp 7:19) can be borrowed from Autozone or O'Reilly's. It's part of their tool loaner programs. You pay for the tool upfront and then return it for a full refund. O'Reilly's allows you to use the tool for 48 hours before returning it; Autozone gives you a generous 90 days before you must return it. It is called a (serpentine) drive belt tool.

Good job dude looks like you really do get in there and get the job done. Only recommendation would be to next time use a servicing machine to collect the freon in the AC system, it sucks out all freon and doesn't release it into the ozone (which is bad), and you wouldn't have any pressure in the system that could potentially hurt you. 👍👍

PAG 46 Refrigerant Oil (R-134a), the same oil you would refill the compressor with if it's not already pre-filled with the oil. You can find it at all auto part stores such as Advanced Auto Parts, O'Reilly, Autozone etc..

I need some help, I have a 2006 honda accord v6. Same problem. I just got the car and recharged the system. Then 2 days later the compressor went out due to over heating. I replaced the compressor and the fan. Turned it on and the compressor blew the valve and leaked everything out. Replaced drier, compressor (again) evap core expansion valve both lines, pressure switch, literally everything in the system is new. Worked 1 day and blew it off again. I just spent 2000.00 on the AC and I'm at a loss. Is there anything you can think of?

The Achilles heel is the compressor. In the 7th generation Honda, it is worth getting a V-belt. BANDO 7PK1390 or Continental Contitech Length 7 PK 1400 [mm]: 1400 Replacing it takes a few minutes for a layman after deflecting the automatic tensioner (such a small circle) with a 13 or 14 wrench if I remember.

It's best to use the proper size hex sockets rather than the 12 point sockets. It's way harder to strip bolts with a proper size 6 point socket and tightening the bolt a bit to break any rust before removal. The 12 points tend to strip the corners of the bolt in my experience.

If the compressor is completely dead, you can tell by running the car's AC at full cool blast with the doors open. If the compressor fails to spin up, it's completely trashed and needs replacing.

Terrible instructions. It was clear you were just figuring things out as you went along. You should have purged the refrigerant before removing any lines.
