It feels to me like ND is the new ABH. And look where ABH is now. So who knows what will be in a few years from now. That helps me remain level headed when it comes to her releases. Also, we have this “catch em all” mentality with her palettes when clearly they’re not meant to suit us all. I’m a light spring, this is the color spectrum I look best in. Not saying I don’t like her eyeshadows, just a thought to maybe help with the declutter process :)

The pretty sparkly shade in Divine Rose is the same shade as the sparkly shade in the Midnight Sun and the skin show shade from Divine Rose is also in Subliminal. You did a great job!

I am 41 and used to buy MAC singles back in the day- there were basically no such thing as palettes. I had my kids and really didn’t wear eye shadow for 10-12 years. Jumped back in the makeup game. I get it. When the time is right again it will be here 😉

Your eye look is absolutely stunning. Yep - our needs change to age and stage. My only advice to stop regret - put the stuff in a bag or a box out of the way for 6 - 12 months (another cycle of the season) and if you don't go looking for it then it can go. PS: I don't believe Ivy is almost 2 years old!

I loved this. I really have been way more intentional in buying this year so far. I don’t think I’m ready to do a declutter yet. I do want to declutter because I want a smaller collection of things I love. But I need to see what I’m really going to use if I’m not buying new stuff all the time.

I don't think 45 is bad at all, considering a lot of the declutters I have watched recently where the palette count is in the hundreds. I am in the same boat as you, my collection is small already which is good because I want less stuff. This expands into clothes, DVDs, books, a lot of areas. I do get tempted to buy but am often able to resist. SG is having 50% off their palettes and I was tempted to buy some but I don't need them and they are colors I don't wear so I will stick with the one I have which needs more usage anyway. Plus I can make my own mini quads with all my SG singles. Anyway...I think you did well with this declutter. Nice job.

For black Friday I bought 2 pat mcgrath labs palettes, bronze seduction and moonlit seduction. I got them on sale so they were around $70 each but that's still alot of money. I have way too much makeup so I'm on a no buy for the first half of the year and doing a low buy the rest of the year.

I always enjoy an eye shadow declutter. I believe the second PM pallette you showed was Moonlit Seduction rather than Sunlit Seduction. I know because I've been eyeing Moonlit Seduction for a few months but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
