I loved this video! Everything you pointed out is definitely helpful tips for those newer to PM. I have been doing all the steps you mentioned and you are definitely on point and I can attest that all your tips definitely do make a difference from the type of brush, natural vs synthetic, the way you hold and how much pressure you put on your brush, using the right eye primer, and glitter glue or intensifeyes wand for special shades. I've been using PM shadows for a few years now and I did alot of research on how to use her shadows. I wish I had a video like this when I first started. You hit every single point perfectly on how to use her shadows. They def are something special! And the looks you can create with her formulas are endless! I def have been using my PM shadows alot more since I have come across your channel! Oh and I love watching Robert Welsh! He is amazing and he is one MUA i have learned so much from!! Love his ghost stories!❤ videoes

Excellent video! I have hooded lids with downturned eyes and really appreciate the tips and trick! I always have the hardest time with adding depth to the outer lid and your detail about what brushes work best and how you apply are very helpful. Thank you for such a thorough video! Any tips on using liquid liners and drawing a wind for hooded/downturned eyes? I have the hardest time getting it to turn out well. I agree about the natural hair brushes…total game changer. I love the rephr hooded eye set. And they’re having a 40% off sale coming up in April…time to stock up on more brushes :) BK beauty has excellent vegan brushes (super soft) and carry a set for hooded/smaller eyes. Another good (and inexpensive) way to clean brushes in between washing is with a micro fiber towel. I get them on Amazon and they’re super cheap and work well, especially with the more delicate natural hair brushes. I spray the towel with a little bit of the Sephora daily brush cleaner and swirl my brush on it and they clean up pretty well. It’s not recommended to wash natural hair brushes too frequently and this helps extend the time between a full clean. Also, if you’ve never tried the rephr brush soap I highly recommend it :)

Oh I'm so glad it was helpful, thank you so much Kathy! Ugh yes my tips for liquid liner would be to stay away from them haha I've not really mastered them to be honest. The only way my wings turn out are if I use a gel pencil liner and smudge into a wing, use eyeshadow or I use those wet liners for some reason they dry super quick so don't smudge. It's really all about the placement though and sometimes I nail it and most times I don't lol I saw that from Rephr, I'm excited haha BK is also high high on my list. I think I might pick up some of their brushes in their next sale or something cos so many people rate them. Also love the microfibre towel suggestion! Definitely so soft and perfect for natural hair brushes 💗💗💗💗

An indie brand in the US called Blend Bunny has a set of smaller brushes specifically for hooded eyes and it's made an amazing difference in my shadow application. I just find, on me, that I just look really odd doing a full eye without a base down (and I don’t ever even do a full base, just concealer and a bit of powder) I just can’t see the look properly, if that makes any sense whatsoever!? I just can’t do it. I know it makes much more sense to do it that way but it just feels wrong on me. Perhaps I’d get used to it if I kept trying but tbh habits of a lifetime and all that!

I made my own colour switch out of soft, porous packing sponge which I cut down to fit in a suitable spare tin. It's very easy on the brushes and because it's porous the loose shadow falls into it so it can be used a tonne without cross contaminating brushes and it's ever so slightly grippy so the ahadow lifts from the brush to the sponge. It's 100% washable and works like a charm. And it was free but even if I had to buy the sponge and tin it would only have been a few dollars.

You totally turned me on to Whats Up Beauty. Their Geodes palette looks gorgeous, I would love to see you review that if it interests you. That and the brush set are on my wish list. And I have the same experience with wanting/needing to set my eye primer with Pat McGrath eyeshadows. I think maybe it's because they're so pigmented, cause I do the same thing with Melt shadows. I just recently splurged on some natural hair brushes, and they really do make a difference - for face and eyes. Powders blend so easily and you just get a really natural, diffused wash of color. The new Sonia G. set at Beautylish is absolutely divine.

Hey Sister's🧚♀️ Can anyone give me a great tip, for a eyeshadow primer for (really;) oily lids? The primer potion in anti age by UD, was the best I could find so far, but it's not the best for really oily lids and blending gets so hard if I wanna spend a bit more time on my mattes... I have hooded eyes like you as well as very oily lids. I am almost a senior so this will be a lifelong problem. I use Rephr makeup brushes. I use Covergirl lid lockup eyeshadow base. Then before applying any shimmer, I use glitter glue; the Too Faced glitter glue, which is now discontinued, or Fyrrinae pixie epoxy glitter glue ( a small amount). No creasing or fallout. This is what works for me.

I would enjoy more tips on hooded eyes,I am slowly learning, however I need all the help I can get. You honestly are correct the eyeintensifer stick by Pat McGrath was a game changer for me,it is definitely worth the money. Before the fall-out would be an issue depending on the shade,it is magical. And it works with other pallets as well. I know the it's not cheap as some glitter glue, but if you have sensitive eyes and don't want to deal with fall-out this does the job.
