Got the Hi-X55. Love them. Couldn't agree more about the comfort. Austrian Audio for the win, always good stuff!

My fav headphone from them is the X60. Very underrated headphone. If you have the X-60 I urge you to listen to this song to experience its beautiful sound. Trimletrold - Trolska Polska from 3:40 time mark.

I own the Austrian Audio Hi-X65 for 2-3 Years and really the plastic was broken, but I wrote to austrian audio and they send me for free new plastic :) support was top!

Nice! I have the Audio Technica M50s and while they do sound great, I need to replace the earcups once a year because they continue to dissolve. Also they aren’t as comfortable as I’d like. This seems to be a great alternative!

The Tragekomfort is very wichtig for me. Is there another option than Kunstleder? I really like the Samtstoff as for the Beyerdynamic headphones.

Yup ... you just have to use headphones you are used to to judge recordings and mixes .... totally agree. I use the typical upper end ones from the most prominent music stores in Germany (the "Hausmarke") and do get good results One could upgrade to the Neumann family: they offer monitor speakers and headphones which are tailored alike tone wise ... but this is a >> 1k€ story So ... thanks a lot for sharing these "reasonable priced Ohrwascheln" ... Austrian goodies

Hi Henning, what's your recommendation for Playing Guitar with Headphones (not mixing - just playing with Plugin or modeler) when you compare the Austrian Audio HX60/65 with the Sennheiser HD650/620S/660s. In you last video 5 months ago, you recommended these ones. Will be nice if you can give your 5 cents for that. Liebe Grüße Bastian

for purely playing guitar, the mid focus of the Sennheiser is very comfortable and I would look in that direction.

This piqued my interest, although for mixing I prefer open back - so a quick browse of Thomann brought up the Austria Audio x65 .... twice the price but I'm still interested as the reviews around seem super positive... good to know they are really the rebirth of AKG after they were sold out overseas to the far east. I prefer my mics and headphones to be German/Austrian :) Any one any experience of some of these x65's?

my friend gifted me x25bt and before that, Ive heard all the line of Austrian audio headphones and I couldn't believe how hyped the reviews were. Long story short x15/x25bt sounded better than all the rest of the line; everything on Spotify sounded awful through x55/x65

I have both the X25bt and the X65. I would agree that for casual listening the X25 have a more pleasing sound. The X65 are in my opinion great for mixing since they expose everything in the top-end, which makes bad mixes sound terrible. Also the stereo imaging in the X65 is so much better. I think they are very different tools for different jobs.

I remember when affordable meant like $20-50, hell Ola just said to me last Sunday that I could get a macbook air for a grand as though a grand is only $10.00 and I laughed so hard.
