On top of that - anybody who cares for animals like he and Leslie do, are good people in my opinion.

I have the 5.8ghz ammoon wireless. Amazing what they can crank out at such cheap prices.
@MetalHeadHippie5 жыл бұрын
Are they any good? price and build quality?
@kolchak3575 жыл бұрын
Metal Head Hippie Ammoon feel like cheap light plastic. But I haven’t had an issue at all. Work great, sound great. Latency less than 6 milliseconds, not noticeable to me at all. Pair automatically. No interference, even from my 2.4ghz cordless phone (yes, I still use one, lol). Rubber pad on back so it won’t scratch your guitar. Currently $59 on amazon. Cheap enough not to cry if I break or lose them. Don’t get the pretty case like the Nuxx though. But for $100 less I can buy a cheap case at the dollar store.
@RicardoDLF4 жыл бұрын
@@kolchak357 What about the guitar tone and gain? Any cons?
@kolchak3574 жыл бұрын
Ricardo De la Fuente Not really. Sounds great and latency isn’t detectable to me. I’ve used it all over my house and even out on my deck to test the allowable distance. It never dropped out. Only issue is you have to recharge it. Get about 4 or 4.5 hours on a charge. It’s made of plastic and doesn’t feel super durable, but again that is to be expected for the cheap price.

Just came from a channel run by some bloke that goes by the name of Glenn Fricker and saw the cable emulation can change the tone somewhat on clean tones but if you are using any effects there won't (or shouldn't be) and difference.
@jcollell5 жыл бұрын
The general consensus is that these are solid. They come in at $150 bucks. They should have a clip attachment and cable so you can have is attached to a strap when performing. Don't want that transmitter dangling and falling off with a bump. Nux seems to be legit as far as cheap but good products. Gotta say, I am impressed with the Nux Horseman OD. It is an emulation of the Klon Centaur and has 2 stages for the gold and silver pedals. I paid $65 for mine and it sounds great. You should check it out.
@bennybischoff49133 жыл бұрын
Thanks for mentioning that this doesn’t work with the THR amps. My Line6 G10 transmitter broke and I’m hesitant to buy another because of the way it sticks out from the bottom of the guitar. Maybe I can solve this issue with an extension cable and something to mount it to the guitar or a belt clip, since I play sitting down and rarely use a strap.

Had the same problem with all my acoustics. A 0.5 meter cord between the guitar and sender solves the problem. So not completely wireless 😢

I want to believe this works but I’ve had problems even with the Boss WL 20 system in pubs. We use a wireless mixer, wireless in ears and wireless guitars. I’ve had to go back to a cable because I need something reliable. I’m in Houston TX the 4th largest city in the US so there is a ton of WiFi and cell traffic everywhere.

I purchased the Nux B-5RC a few weeks ago and had to send it back. I have a custom built Driftwood Guitar that has an active LR Baggs Anthem pickup in it. When I plugged it in an immediate high pitch squeal came through the amp. Could not trouble shoot or EQ it out. Tried everything. However, it worked fine on all of my other acoustic and electric instruments. My buddy in another state bought the same NUX rig at the same time, and he had the same problem when plugged into his Martin with an active LR Baggs PU. I guess the NUX and LR Baggs product don't like one another? I also have a NUX wireless mic rig, and it works perfectly. I went onto the NUX website and left an email describing the issue, and asked for some tech help/advice - received an email response and a phone call the next day ( couldn't take the call ) At this writing, I sent back the original B-5RC rig and asked Amazon to send another B-5RC because I want it to work, and I haven't spoken yet to the tech guy from NUX.

I have the original B-2. Can anyone tell me if this newer version has the gating/delay effect if you stop playing for a few seconds? The led on the reciever starts blinking, it goes into like a sleep mode or something and you need to play for a fraction of a second before audio starts coming through again. Really hoping this unit is always on.

I have their last model. It does not come with the fancy case etc. but it works just fine. What I did was buy a good female to female phone jack adapter and plug a simple pedal patch cord into it. I found an mini phone case at a Thrift store and put it in the case. The case has belt clip so I just clip the case to my guitar strap. It works great and the case makes the whole system look like a high end pro wireless. In short you can not tell at all it is homemade. These things could be made with a female jack in the transmitter and a belt clip on the case. Anyone gigging would gladly pay a bit more for it too. One thing all of these systems do not have is a way of changing the battery . One day they will die and you will have throw it out.

When I play again after 45 minutes, the unit that’s plugged in my guitar already went into sleep mode, which I’ll press on it to bring it back to life. Fir the unit that’s plugged in the mixer, do I need also someone to press on it to bring it to life, or will it detects that the guitar side is active now and connects back?

@@JohnHorneGuitar Yep. I was saying that ALL of the digital 2.4 Ghz have the same weakness. They either work or they don't. The frequencies are heavily utilized by Wifi and lots of IOT stuff, so sometimes it'll works, sometimes it won't. Analog systems have their problems, but it's very rare that the frequencies they use are utilized by something else.
