With the SOTF tunes. How can you be sure which power level you are in by looking at the ez lynk app? Is there a gauge parameter that shoes the selected power level?

Okay so I switched over to 4.30 nitro gear, gear set and a ATS billet valve body with a new solenoid pack. I went in to ram dealership and did a relearn for the solenoid pack and they said it doesn't need one for a 4.30 gear set conversion but I believe it does. I keep throwing a code for 5th gear P0735 and it never threw one before I did all these upgrades. The shifts aren't the best. I've switches different tunes to try and find the best one. I've been using dirty diesel customs for custom tunes while running the ez lynk. Any help appreciated.

Did you unplug the obd2 port after? I got an aftermarket screen for gauges

When you flash the ECM you it takes more than 30-50 miles for the trans to learn. It actually takes at least 200 miles and a few days, at a minimum, and all done on tune #1. Really, it should take about a week on the lowest tune and this is even on a fully built trans. I'll email you the instructions I got from RevMax, but it is very detailed and cannot be stressed enough. People seem to be confused on how long the trans needs to learn when flashing a new tune or when changing power levels but they both require a re-learn. Here's the gist: "The Installation and drive learning process will take anywhere from 1-2 weeks. Towing, hauling and or rough driving cannot be done during this time! Anytime the vehicle is fitted with *new engine or transmission tuning* the drive learn process must be redone. You do not need to complete a relearn with a scan tool, just the drive learn cycles described below. When the engine and transmission tuning is reflashed it resets the CVI data back to factory baseline. This data must be relearned prior to ANY kind of power or hard acceleration is used. You will now take the vehicle out for the initial test drive, do not exceed 30% throttle or 2000 RPM. Allow transmission to shift all the way up to sixth gear AND back down to first at least 25 times. If full power is given, immediate transmission failure will occur and you will be responsible for repair charges. Begin the initial drive learn cycle. You must keep throttle below 50% at all times during this cycle. Drive the vehicle for a MINIMUM of 3 days. The truck must be allowed to rest overnight and go from HOT to COLD engine and transmission temperatures. During this time period it is best to have a MINIMUM of 200 miles STOP AND GO driving. Highway driving does not count and will not drive learn the transmission. Whenever power levels are increased please allow 30 miles of STOP AND GO city driving to occur before applying full power." Sort of, drive it at 25-30% throttle for at least 30 miles. No hot dogging it.

No when you switch tunes you can just drive it, there’s no special bullshit to deal with everytime you switch tunes

I just got the EZ Link for my 2017 cummins and I have no idea on how to use it. Got installed professionally. So how do you switch form level to level? I want my truck to sound like an jet engine. Do I just click on whatever folder I want? The installed confused me on how to use it. Can you do a vid on how to change power settings using the app on the cell. Also, I changed the tire psi setting for the front & rear tire while the truck was on and once it upgraded it, my truck stalled. So do I have to have my truck off everytime I try to change settings?

Man, it sounds like you need to be educated a bit. I would suggest contacting the person you bought the EzLynk from or do some youtube research. I’ve done a few videos on the EzLynk w/ my 2017 Ram & 2020 Ram.

Yes, there is an EzLynk smart app. If the vehicle is assigned to someone else, they will need to turn it over to you.

Great video! I just got my ez Lynk from HPP but it didn’t come with the HPP brochure or the HPP box. Also my connector wasn’t color coded like the one in the video. So this video really helped me get through the steps to install it.

There are pin removal tools we use. Some of the weather pack plugs though are really a one time use.

In this install, I believe we fished it through the rubber grommet in the firewall for the wiring harness.
