This needed more instructions than this. I also suspect my board wired was wrong, or the engines are mislabeled. Who knows, neither colors match this or the V2 video. My plane seems very confused. After not being able to control for 15 min, my battery dies, which is expected. I had another charged battery but i didnt even bother. Bad instructions , with a bug in the product equals wasted time. Confirmed, bad board. This officially was NOT EASY.

Because it's an FT STEM kit, they don't intend to release the plans. There will be free community plans made available for the EZ Pack on the FT Forum, and you can always make your own, too.

I finally was able to order the electronics by themselves a few days ago. Man, that pack is hidden away. It took several attempts to finally find just the electronics and not the whole $99 pack with planes included.

A couple tips. - if you are going to put on the RC pieces, I would recommend run the right motor wires through the hole in the fuselage, through the hole in the circuit board and then plug it in BEFORE you mount the engine OR the circuit board on the aircraft. There is not a lot of extra wire and I spent more time trying to fish that little white plug through the hole and getting it plugged in than I did on the entire rest of the build. -If you use double sided tape to mount the circuit board, make it a little long to extend below the bottom of the board to protect the power switch and the LED. Also check it after every crash..er landing to make sure it isn't loose. I flew with on that was loose... if you want to call that bucking bronco a flight.

What do you think would be the easiest way to switch the electronics between the 3 planes? I don’t want to buy 2 more power packs and want to have the option to pick any plane

For these planes, it seems like they're not designed to switch back and forth repeatedly. The paper and foam will wear out quickly from constant removal and re-application of tape. If you're looking for scratchbuild planes that allow you to fly multiple models on a single electronics kit, consider the regular swappable series that features a removable power pod that easily goes from plane to plane with minimal fuss. The mini swappables are a bit bigger and more powerful than these micro kits, but they're still great small park flyers.

Josh, you need to put this new power pack on your store under (airplane power packs) the only way I found it was through the Stem page. I bought an FT freighter from you guys and it is awesome for the kids. And finally got my wife to fly an rc plane! Just wanted to say thanks!

The Plank is the most responsive of the three. The V is the fastest, and the Canard is the biggest, but the plank climbs the best and turns the nicest.

Hi Josh and the rest of the FT family hope you are all well and staying safe,i really liked how you double up on the foam board for the fuse by bending it over,but my favorite little trick was how you got the Dihedral into the wing. I've got an old Hubsan quad (first addition) which i've got a couple and i might try this with one of them,the only problem i might have is with the FC,but i'll cross that bridge if and when i come to it,i'm sure if i sit down and give it some thought i'll be able to work something out. 😉 Thanks for sharing as it's very much appreciated,much love and respect from another RC pilot from the UK.👍🏾
