SOLO Camping on a Balearic Island | Paddle Board Adventure

Whilst on holiday with the family, I caught the adventure bug and had to give in...
I found a paddle board in the house we were renting and tested it by inflating and leaving it overnight. The next morning, to my delight, I found the board had held the pressure and so the adventure was on!
Some Googling earth later, I had located the target cove on an Island approximately 3km offshore from the mainland, where I intended to camp.
With no camping gear with me, I hit the happy place of Decathlon to gear up. After some vital purchases, I headed to a VERY crowded beach for launch.
Join me on this awesome paddle boarding adventure to a secluded Balearic Island.
Gorgeous waters, saving tourists from a stuck anchor, dozing off to sleep under the Milky Way with occasional shooting stars... this was an adventure to remember.

I have a few comments. On similar trips, it's a good idea to bring a paddleboard repair kit and a pump, respectively. Even though you are not too far away, a punctured paddleboard would require you to call someone to rescue you from the island. Secondly, it was quite bold to light a fire so close to the board. A single spark is enough to damage the board, and without a repair kit, it becomes an unpleasant situation again.

Good points thanks for sharing. This was definitely a little ( A LOT) improvised adventure so caution went to the wind... but the risk taken comes as a cost...

Thanks for the great video. One thing I always stress to any camper is to put their fire out with water. Reason being the coals and soil beneathe the ashes is still very hot... It's not the chance of reignition so much as the chance of little children playing with the ashes and getting burned. Makes me want to load up my board and have an adventure. Thanks again.

I think the inflatables have come a long way are very good quality and reliable nowadays. However, if you have the space, and don't mind a bit of extra weight, a solid board will never let you down! it will prob track better on the water too!
