Hiking and Wild Camping in the Lake District

new subscriber: do you need a permit to camp in remote parts of the Lake District or are you just taking a chance? I see many vloggers doing it so I assume it's OK??

Hello Peter, thanks for watching and for the question. These remote locations are not regulated by permits like some countries. But, we always abide with accepted wild camping etiquette: pitch late (and high up), leave early, and LEAVE NO TRACE. Avoid pitching in areas marked as ‘no camping zones’ lower down.
