Ezgo TXT golf cart won’t move. Bypass reed switch and charger receptacle

@@kwsimmons215 it should plug into the back of your charger receptacle. If there’s nothing to plug into. Run it to the main positive

where does the red wire that you unplugged from the blue wire go, my blue wire is just hanging there with no connector on it. trying to find that connector and red wire that you unplugged the blue one from.

That means they bypassed it. It should go into the harness in front of batteries. If they bypassed it. It will be on main positive

@@Golfcartwhisperer thanks for the help. previous owner did bypass it i guess. said it wouldn't charge. So i was replacing the charging port and noticed it. shes charging and running now.

Hello I just bought a new charging port and when the charger is plugged in and says charging the new green light still isn’t flashing.

@@Cypherpunk52 that’s no big deal. The light never flashes anyway so I wouldn’t worry about it if you have a voltmeter, put it on your main positive and negative with the charger plugged in and test it if it climbs the charges working.

Hey brother I got 2008 rxv. I just fully charged it and topped it off with distilled water. I took it out for a cruise and when I got back and plugged it in it gives me the 2blink red fault code It still functions goes and stops forward and revers but only a matter of time. Any insight?

Thanks for watching. Make sure you have access to power on your outlet. Could be the receptacle or the charger. Does all your connections on the battery look good. Check the ones on the. A positive and main negative. That come form the charger plug

⁠yes i definitely have power because the charger indicates a fault code read and blinks red, terminals could use some attention but nothing to bad I’ve had way worse. Idk ill give them all good scrub tomorrow charge each 12v battery separately and see what happens from there

@@rhinoandthedood either a faulty charger or bad charging receptacle. On the back of your charger receptacle on the car. Is there a tag on it that says what version it is check the inside of the dc cord on the charger to make sure it’s not burnt also.

A bad charging receptacle will ca2 blink normally means over voltage or under voltage on battery pack. But do what I said above and let me know 🤛🤛

All I need to do to bypass the reed switch cable is connect to the positive of the battery??? 👍

@@Golfcartwhisperer 6 8v batteries. It’s a 2014 ez go 48v but the charging port is only a 2 prone so I’m very confused

@@Golfcartwhisperer I do have a tow switch and also have maintenance mode which beeps error codes. Didn’t know until now I’m going to go try to see what code I get now

Yes somebody swapped that out. Or you have a utility type vehicle. The maintenance code is useless. What’s your cart doing
