I love how the relationship between Huyang and Ezra started off bickering and condescending to a bonding moment and Huyang gifting Ezra with a one of a kind item that will help him connect with his late master. The whole thing has a very old and stodgy grandfather bonding with his young and impulsive grandson feel to it

Yes! Huyang warmed up to Ezra considerably once he learned that Ezra had been trained by one of his own former students. We've seen that Huyang puts stock in the master-apprentice lineage. Sabine confirming that Caleb/Kanan was Ezra's master reassures Huyang that Ezra is not just some wannabe playing with things he doesn't really understand, but instead that his training has its ultimate origin in the old Jedi Order, and in Huyang himself.

Having been around for so long, Huyang puts a lot of importance on the Jedi Master/Apprentice lineage. Once he knew who Ezra's Master was, in fact one of Huyang's own students, Huyang warms up considerably. Thus he goes from annoyed to pleased, especially when Ezra proves that he really does know what he's doing - using skills passed down from Huyang himself via Kanan.

I like that Ezra went back to blue. It was what he started with and what Kanan had. Besides, with Ahsoka having white blades and Sabine and Luke using green, I'd like there to be at least one blue blade in the mix, since Cal Kestis' story isn't finished yet and have yet to see if Kata becomes his apprentice

I miss Kanan, he had the heart of rebel and the soul of jedi, he was balanced and fearless, could see things another way and most of all he helped people, he gave people hope and strength when the empire made them suffer.

I just noticed this time that Huyang pulls out that part like the one from Kanen's lightsaber when he learns he was Ezra's master. I have seen videos explaining how apprentices tend to build lightsabers similar to their master's. It was said they do it to honor their master. But I feel like it's something deeper than that. That it's like by doing so they carry a piece of their master with them though their lightsaber, a constant reminder of all the lessons they learned. I honestly love all the spiritual aspects that seem to come up around lightsaber hilts, their construction, their shape, and what their configuration means.

@janoslambert-cannon7146 We don't see Ezra retrieve the first crystal after Vader destroys his saber, but his green one makes the same noises as the first saber. Which is what leads me to believe he picked it up before heading to Kanan. I think the crystal Ezra uses here is the one on his belt - there was one on there earlier

Ezra's new lightsaber is ultimately awesome and it has a blue blade just like his first one he uses during seasons 1 and 2 of the rebels series. I hope that the Hasbro toy and games company can make Ezra's lightsaber from the Ahsoka series as a toy for Hasbro Lightsaber Forge in stores for both Walmart and Target.

To answer Ezra's question, Huyang is over 25,000 years old. He helped invent the lightsaber. Basically, as the first Jedi walked out of the first Jedi Temple the first thing they did was find a large blue box on the steps outside, open it, and activate Huyang.

So it looks like Ezra rebuilt a replica of Kanan Jarrus's lightsaber and since Kanan Jarrus's lightsaber was destroyed when the imperial dome is exploded and it looks like Ezra rebuilt Kanan Jarrus's lightsaber to honor his memory since Kanan Jarrus Did sacrifice his own life to save Ezra and Sabine and Hera from the explosion at the cost of his own life

I love building Lightsabers it is my favorite hobby in star wars. If anyone in our real world wants to be a jedi, you need to show your friends and family how capable to pretend you have the force. Plus during your training and your missions, if you lose a lightsaber or if it gets destroyed you either buy or build another. Plus it's like Master Obi-Wan Kenobi said to Anakin Skywalker during Episode 2 Attack of the Clones "This weapon is your life". Also when i was a child i have some natural talent wielding a lightsaber. Both single and dual wield. Double Bladed like the Jedi Temple Guards, not so much.
