The documentary is amazing. After watching it, you realize the O.J. verdict really had nothing to do with O.J.

I still get infuriated every time I see an OJ documentary....why is it that people sympathised more with a black football star than a domestic violence victim is beyond me especially with the extent of the damning evidence
@BigMeg7 жыл бұрын
Laura u definitely could've left the irrelevant "black" part out lol but ok
@AboveAllNations7 жыл бұрын
I'd recommend actually watching Edelman's documentary, if you haven't already. As unfair as it was to Nicole, the O.J. trial turned into an indictment of systemic racism in Los Angeles' law enforcement. One of the jurors basically admitted that O.J.'s acquittal was retribution for the Rodney King verdict.
@AboveAllNations7 жыл бұрын
Also, why did you feel the need to point out that O.J. was a "BLACK football star?" Is O.J.'s race an aggravating factor for you?
@churdle927 жыл бұрын
I think the "black" part is absolutely critical to the overall OJ story. As a player OJ never identified as a black man but as soon as he saw the complexities of race in LA as a ticket to getting away with a double homicide, he suddenly became the blackest black man to ever be a black football player. (I have watched the documentary and it's definitely way more complex than just that, but the race thing was and is certainly relevant)
@Laura-oe2dl7 жыл бұрын
Megan Walker the reason I say black is because we know his race wasn't irrelevant to the outcome of the case and the rhetoric surrounding it with the media....similarly with the Bill Cosby revelations when many of the victims received hate for 'trying to slander a successful black man'....
