Three years later, this song just gets better. If I had discovered the joy of sex in America instead of in a bedroom in Adelaide, South Australia, in 1977, on my own with a pillow and well-washed soft t-shirt, if I had heard this song when I was 15, and it was all so damned mysterious and just within reach but not quite and then when it was within reach then, well, lordy. I thought at first that it might have been blood (I was bought up a Catholic, after all), and when I raised the folded over pillow that is just what I expected to see. But I saw something else, and I knew, sort of. Actually I didn't know shit, like my mates at school. We were all so innocent then. God this is a brilliant song!
