I will say, some of the most meaningful moments I've had as a performer have been when people fall completely silent during a song, followed by brief silence in the seconds immediately following the end of the song, giving way to yelling, clapping, cheering.
@snoozieboi5 жыл бұрын
You can often hear audience being really appreciating the talent, other times (maybe Sin-è) you want to reach through time and space and slap people. "Don't you know what you are witnessing?!". Oh what I'd give to hear "like young lovers do" live. JB is the artist that made me realize anyone can become obsessed, it's just a matter of pressing the right buttons. LYRICS Looking out the door I see the rain fall upon the funeral mourners Parading in a wake of sad relations As their shoes fill up with water Maybe I'm too young To keep good love from going wrong But tonight you're on my mind so You'll never know Broken down and hungry for your love With no way to feed it Where are you tonight? Child, you know how much I need it. Too young to hold on And too old to just break free and run Sometimes a man gets carried away, When he feels like he should be having his fun Much too blind to see the damage he's done Sometimes a man must awake to find that, really, He has no one So I'll wait for you and I'll burn Will I ever see your sweet return, Or, will I ever learn? Lover, you should've come over 'Cause it's not too late. Lonely is the room the bed is made The open window lets the rain in Burning in the corner is the only one Who dreams he had you with him My body turns and yearns for a sleep That won't ever come It's never over, My kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder It's never over, all my riches for her smiles When I slept so soft against her It's never over, All my blood for the sweetness of her laughter It's never over, She is the tear that hangs inside my soul forever But maybe I'm just too young, To keep good love from going wrong Oh lover, you should've come over, yeah yeah yes I feel too young to hold on I'm much too old to break free and run Too deaf, dumb, and blind To see the damage I've done Sweet lover, you should've come over Oh, love I've waited for you Lover, you should've come over 'Cause it's not too late

It's been 7 years since I've discovered Jeff. Strangely I've never stopped listening to this song. Gorgeous chords.

Jeff was amazingly beautiful. There isn't enough words to describe his performance here or what it made me feel. I just want to go cry now.

the world stops at 5:37 every time. Also BLESS the hands of the camera person. We're so lucky to have this incredible moment captured and shared with us. Rest in Peace, Jeff.

My favorite version of this song so far. I can never quite tell where his full voice ends and his falsetto begins. Truly enviable voice.

it's never over -- my kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder... it's never over -- all my riches for her smiles when I slept so soft against her... it's never over -- all my blood for the sweetness of her laughter... it's never over -- she's the tear that hangs inside my soul forever...

from 5:32 up till the end his singing reminds me of an abandoned little child crying and then screaming in agony, so vulnerable... his work is hauntingly beautiful with grand emotions

My god the very ending my tears just started flowing out like they haven’t done in a long time. Music that totally took control of my emotion. It’s sad, it’s beautiful, it’s Jeff.
