This version is manic, Kurt's version is depressive. Fitting since lithium is given to manic depressives (myself included).

+24kGoldenRocket The Big Short is an important film, but was strangely missing any real references to 1990s deregulations that allowed mortgaged-backed securities to balloon as they did (which they did not immediately when they were first created) and then spread through the newly-interconnected & cross-pollinated system in a way that could bring down the global economy.

Gospel is doing too much good for them. No, I am not defending "pure soul church" here at all - they aren't a gospel, because there is too much singing on the same notes. It isn't actually really that much of a choir either. The only luring lie is that they are wearing what a gospel choir would wear. So... Sorry to break it to you - but you weren't listening with your ears. You were watching with your ears - appearantly. :D You and all the likers - me among them. ;D It's still sooo cool - even if it fails to be gospel musically, it still gives out the message of the song really well - having symbols which cause Great conflict to all us humans. :)

I feel like this song is actually spiritually closer to Nirvana than the covers which try and go really hard with it. Kurt had a real thing for 60s children’s records and loss of childhood innocence generally. Things which recaptured it seemed to really appeal to him, and this does that. I have a feeling he’d actually really like this and fucking hate metal bands covering his songs.

I don't know if this is just me, but I can't figure out whether this is a Christian rock song or not. I mean, if it is that's cool- it's way better than the usual bland dreck you find in Christian pop.

This is originally a Nirvana song. I'm pretty sure it's not meant to be religious in any way.

Araxie Rose polyphonic spree - choral symphonic pop/rock. choirs are often associated with religion but the 'spree have no such connection (as far as I know) just upbeat, explosively well fitting voices, great cover of nirvana's song and they've done some other covers too. namely rocky horror picture show (saw that live) psychedelic furs (although that's a cover from the front mans previous band) and I'm really looking forward to their next album (hopefully they're still running, although getting so many members to coincide their schedule is no easy feat. ~32 members at one point)

I wonder if they still do the yearly Christmas show. It's one of the best shows I've ever been too. They even get clowns, fake snow, reindeer, and have a petting zoo in the parking lot. It's quite extravagant and fun.
