I still have this phone and can’t seem to toss it. It sits in the mobile phone hall of fame drawer along with my HTC Desire, iPhone 4, Blackberry, Palm V, Samsung flip and the original Motorola flip brick. Loved them all and still recall them fondly. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. ✌️

Man, I love these type of videos, thanks. I was thirsty for that phone and bought it from the website the day it was available. I was 23 at the time, I went on to have every nexus (and iPhone). I remember that time like it was yesterday. That’s why we need to cherish life because in the moment we may not appreciate it until it’s a memory 10 years later and we miss it. Everyday is still a blessing.

I was an iPhone user back then, but the Nexus One was one of the phones that made me seriously consider switching to Android. I did eventually switch with the Galaxy Nexus, and it's all thanks to the T-Mobile G1 and the Nexus One.

I don't and haven't ever had this phone personally (I'm to young to be using a smartphone in 2010 lol), but I did get a used Galaxy S off of eBay not too long ago...I got really lucky cause it was on Android 2.1 and even though I never experienced this version previously, I completely agree with you-it's just so cool to look at and play with even if the functionality's limited! Also I ended up putting a 128GB microSD in it, effectively making the storage 17 times the original 😂

Ohhhh, I sooo remember this day. I was on vacation and the news came out that Google released a phone. I had a BlackBerry at the time and I'm like what? When I returned from vacation, one of my co-workers had ordered the phone. I was so jealous of the things he was able to do with that phone. I miss that era in smartphones. It was a literal EXPLOSION in Android handsets. The start-up animation is STILL the best on any phone created.
