I fly mainly sim battles and i prefer the cyclic switching of targets because it "locks" the TWS radar to that target so i can go defensive while maintaining tws softlock because i found that guiding the missle to the end dramatically increases the probability of kill. In sim aim54 is best used at medium ranges like 30-50km with acting like its sarh with the abiliy to break off to notch when necessary, that is when they start to become somehow reliable.

4:09 Not mentioning ability to switch radar modes (from Search to PD and back) without breaking lock, biggest improvement over Phantom AN/APG-59 radar I find disturbing. 6:21 running WTRTI actually shows opposite regarding fuel consumption. 14A at mach 0.9 sea level burns about 120kg of fuel per minute at 100% throttle, or 1100kg/min at full afterburner 14B at mach 0.9 sea level guzzles 205kg/min, or 1460kg/min respectively which is reflected in fuel settings - 14B have shorter stated flight time, as both planes have identical fuel capacity of 7350kg. That said, it seems having more fuel than minimal seems to use wing fuel tanks - both Tomcats have tendency to randomly rip wings during sudden high speed maneuvers when above min fuel. 13:23 - fooling radar and fooling missile are two different things. PD radars can't be chaffed (usually), but older type SARH missiles with Pulse seekers WILL go after chaff, even if radar is tracking target correctly. Just ask French mains On the opposite - Continuous Wave seekers in SARH missiles are modeled as inverse monopulse type, which in simplest terms are looking for radar echo of moving targets. Thats why Sparrows and newer SARH missiles can and often will hit the target even if Search radar is tracking chaff, BUT target happens to be within illumination cone of the radar. 17:58 given how hot Tomcat engines are anyway, no amount of flares will help decoying IR missile fired at your booty from rear aspect if you keep that afterburner on.

ok so it depends on what u want, if u want the apaches for the US helis get the Greek apache, or if u want to grind the soviets cuz u got a lineup, get the ka 50. regarding what to purchase, AH-64 has thermals, more missiles, better Target acquisition system, overal somewhat updated systems, the ka 50 has better durability and better mobility and vikhr missiles, i made a video on both of them, and i love both of them, if i would buy one i would probably get the ka 50 because i have alot of apaches and i need a linup for my russian 10.0 so it depends on you.

Ill be honest gotta be the two most over rated planes in WT. I literally never die to these things and i always kill them. Ive only played it a few times on my friends account but honestly they just are too big and lumbering to be effective imo, also i dont remember the last time i even saw one do good in a match
