My understanding is the Lighting is under a separate ford company with different terms so dealers can't do a mark up, added fees, and so on. Dealers shot them self in the foot getting Fords attention with large mark-up era.

This dealer selling at sticker price isn't specific to the dealer. It's Ford's policy to sell at MSRP if you place a custom order which is how Ford is doing their sales now. In the near future Ford isn't going to use dealerships at all for EV sales and will deliver straight to the customer. Dealerships for Ford are just parking lots and salesman are clerks now.

I purchased an adapter, commonly known as a "Tesla Tap" that connects to the end you plug into the car and converts it to basically a J-1772. Kind of the reverse of the J-1772 adapter you get with the Tesla. Works on mobile connectors and Tesla destination chargers, but not Tesla Superchargers.

308 miles is what ford estimates you get of driving range. 320 is what epa estimates for driving range. If you look at official data you will get around 286 on the highway and 350 miles city. So the average epa is 320

If these videos are for your audience, I can tell you that for me, I don't care to see any of that.....your walking into a dealership with a camera running. A full battery is 130 kWh. At home I pay about $0.15/kWh, so just under $20 for 300 lies or so. With my Telsa my bill is about $50/month higher, but I drive a lot.

I’m still on hold with my reservation but that’s fine because I’d rather not finance. I put my reservation in a year ago today. My 2007 only has 112k miles on it so I only drive 200 miles a week which would be great for the pro model although I would like to do some cross country traveling so I was excited when you said you were going to do a video detailing that. If I get an invite soon I’ll probably just go with the pro if it’s available but if I have to wait & save some more the lariat looks like the best bang for the Buck since it’s only $5k more than the XLT & you get tons more options. I think the Pro is the best overall value if you can live with the smaller range. On my upcoming road trip I will try to show how the DC fast charging works, mostly at Electrify America stations. If you are getting the larger battery then I think Lariat is the next best value. As you said, for "only" $5,000 more you get a lot of upgrades from the XLT and for $10,000 more I don't see the value in the Platinum.

When you walk into a dealership you should be greated like they are thrilled to have you, offered a drink and throughout being there be treated as if you're the only customer. This dealership failed in all of those categories......as most dealers do. If I was Ford and I saw this video I'd immediately revoke that dealers franchise until it went through intense training and cleaned up its act.

@@Real_Natural it's not about favors it's about the fact I'd not be OK with any part of that interaction if I was Ford. The lot doesn't look inviting, the dealership itself looks like it's from the 80s, the interaction with the receptionist was ehh and the salesman was ho hum about it all. It's just bad all the way around. The showroom should be open and modern with comfortable seating and a bar with food and drink and the customer should be offered some while waiting for the salesman. The front area should have a nice reception desk with a greeter who's excited to see you and treats you like you're the only one who matters and every employee that sees you should greet you. It should be a place that even when not buying a car you'd love to go hang out in.
