Hey guys.
In this DCS World Simulator video I'm in the F16 Viper trying a mission in the Desert Storm time frame, Hope you guys enjoy!
I love playing simulators, I started with Arma 3 and then I saw DCS World. I also enjoy War Thunder , Battlefield , Ghost recon, Squad , Rome total war, Microsoft Flight Simulator and more. I also enjoy World War II games including il-2 In DCS World i found all the jets that i wanted to fly in a simulator the F 16 Viper , FA 18 Hornet , F 15 Eagle , A 10 Warthog , SU 27 , Mig 29 , P 51 , Spitfire , AH 64 Apeche , Heuy and more... And if you will download MODs the options are endless: F 22 Raptor, SU 57 , A 4 Skyhawk , SR 71 Blackbird , Rafale, Gripen and the list goes on.
My PC Specs:

GPU: Geforce RTX 2080ti
RAM: DDR4 Corsair 3200 MHz 32 GBB (total of 4 sticks so 128 GB in total)

Crazy! As an Infantryman in Desert Storm ( dismount Team leader Bradley Fighting Vehicle US Army) I thought us ground pounders we're raising alot of Hell on the Battlefield. Got to witness alot of the Air battles/bombing with Pvs 7 Bravos night vision. This video is very accurate through NVG's . Great Video Longshot !❤

@@llamalamb6741 Crazy view! You can see so many more stars with NVG's. And meteorites/shooting stars. There are so many falling stars at night( you can't see with naked eye) it looks like green rain through NVGs. I use to volunteer guard duty just to star gaze with NVGs. If you ever get a chance to look through nvgs , pick a dark patch of sky with no stars,,then look again with NVGs ,,you don't even need IR light on with military grade NV.

Another amazing video! As always. Is there any way that you could do a video on how to get the NVGs to be fullscreen? The squadron I fly with does a lot of night missions and the default NVGs are horrific. Lol.

Hey LongShot! Really well created content so my compliments! I also wanted to ask something, it's not very relevant with this video, but I hope it can be of interest to you. Very short premise, I mainly okay War Thunder due to me not having a proper setup to place DCS, something that happens there is that when the bandit flies very low to the ground (treetop level or lower), radar missiles tends to miss the target and hit the ground even from a top down launch. So the missile isn't trying to lead the target and hit the ground, but gets within a few feet of the aircraft and misses it crushing into the ground. (Note the main missiles used are AIM-7 F & M or R-27 R & ER. I was wondering how does that stack up in DCS (including missiles like early or late AMRAAMs.) I'm not expecting a video, but just to understand if that happens in DCS / Real life (for what information we may have) or not at all. Keep making amazing content!

@@LongShotChannel Thank you so much for the reply! I have watched that video, and that's part of the reason why I'm confused 😅. So in DCS it doesn't matter how low the target flies, as long as the missile has energy it will hit? From what I understand, Multipath should be the cause of it, as there is a radar reflection both off the bandit aircraft and off the ground too and the radar receiver of the missile doesn't manage to maintain a solid track on the aircraft (but it has to be very low altitude: 15-50 feet off the ground). I think GS tried something like this when fighting a MiG 31 with the hypersonic missiles, even tho he didn't mention any of this but rather top gun maverick with "the terrain will confuse it's systems" which I found super funny ☺️. I feel it is just something that it's worth looking into, but regardless thanks for your amazing work and especially the latest short films they are absolutely stunning 😍
