The average missile has about 10 seconds of fuel plus ignition. Keep it busy for that long and call it a day. Fly at it and countermeasures should do the trick. By the time it reestablished a lock it's a paperweight. But I've seen a missile lock on its own pilot because he was nearest to it when it locked

to help you out, the missles in general are easier to avoid if you turn into them full ab and roll (because they fly straight past you)
