For those confused about the 2 RWRs; The block 15s operate on the rather primitive avionics suite which is noted second on the stat card. To summarize, when the belgium 16s went through their MLU, they ripped out the entire avionics suite to make way for a thales system that integrated new sensors all the way to a new digital scope in the cockpit, this was needed to be done so that they could easily integrate a MAW/PID rack that was purpose build for this EW suite. The MAWS upgrade module in the modifications box in game will basically switch your aircraft from the aforementioned ALR-56 to the CARAPACE.

6:41 I am surprised you didn't mention MAWS (Passive Airborne Warning System (PAWS)) + the CM pods (Pylon Integrated Dispensing System Universal (PIDSU)) which are unique for this line of F-16s and set it apart from those of other nations.

That all tracks with the experience I've had! Great cockpit for VR indeed, I love the HUD element to locate RWR pings when looking around, just wish it would focus on more priority RWR pings like missiles etc.

Another great video Tim. In the future, could you show the cockpits of helicopters when you review them? Your channel is one of the only reliable ways to see the internal views of vehicles.

I normally don't fly helicopters with the VR headset, so I dont usually comment on them. Some helis having different gunner/pilot positions adds to the difficulty of giving an informed opinion without going VR.

Nice Video, favorite WT channel for sure. But I still ain't sure, how I feel with Gaijin making tech trees 'less unique'. All nations have now at some point almost the same planes, not just F16 or Gripen, F104s, Migs, Vampires, Spitfires, 109s, but same for Tanks. Since removal of historical matchmaking and now every nation getting some T34 and some Pz4 and some t72 (or similar, like Finland, Hungary or East Germany), I feel like it matters less and less to choose which nation you play than it did years ago. But still great Video XD

Gaijin doesn't care about uniqueness of tech trees. They care about making you pay to accelerate additional copy paste grind. Maximum return on investment!

Yeah, I've avoided commentary on that for the most part, but I'm also not a huge fan of dilution in the tech trees. I've got thoughts about it, but my ideas on the topic aren't very popular.

As for slowing on the runway without a chute, in games like DCS or BMS when you land the F-16, after the main wheels touch down on the flare, you want to maintain a 10 degree pitch up attitude until the nose falls on its own. Thos uses aerodynamic braking to slow you down. Not sure if it can work in WT outside of sim mode however.

When i use this plane, I put 1 maw system on just got to be careful with not have the flares attached to it because you dump them all if it goes off. It will even go off if someone in front of you pops flares.

I love this plane for sim, also the earlier f16a because its 13.0 instead of 13.3. having no hms for your radar doesn't really matter, as the amraams aren't that good at short range compared to something like a mica.

In the end it seems like that F16 looks like outlier among other F16 Sort of like israeli F16a was on br of F16c It was more nimble, with interesting ir missiles. But was lacking in LongRange department, and flare count. This looks like more nimble and having more use in mixed battles. Thanks for review, and answers! Also, really like, how you dispersed extencive history of F16 throughout many videos. Очень лаконично (very very laconic/concise ?).

@@Вольфрамище Its personal preference. You can, but you lose a missile pylon. Taking one (or two) CM pylons gives more defensive endurance but less offensive endurance, so it really depends on personal playstyle.
