Besides the obvious choices of the Top Gun movies, I also enjoyed watching Iron Eagle when I caught it on TV years ago, one of the first fighter jet movies i ever say. I can't remember exactly if it was from Iron Eagle, but do you remember a movie where teenagers were flying some old Avengers and where intercepted by F-16s?

When the whole thing about the price of an AIM-9M came up i just had to think about that story how an AIM-9 (probably a B variant) was stolen by a soviet agent from my local Air Base in 1967. Josef Linowski, a locksmith of polish origin, Manfred Ramminger, a german race driver, and Wolf-Diethardt Knoppe, an F-104 pilot, managed to get into the AB, get the Sidewinder into Linowskis car by breaking the rear window and letting the missile stick out the back, covered in a rug and a red indicator for over length, drive the missile 600km/370mi through West Germany, dismantle it and send it part by part to the KGB.

I use those 16 button keys in warthunder, have it mapped out on the weapons on there so left hand only has to handle with maneuvers, all weapons handled by the right on the mouse. It is a life saver for mouse and keyboard.

My brother actually has one of those 16-key mouse, but he only uses like 8 in WT (he does not know how to use radar settings, or smart weapons, tough), mine is an 8 key gamer-mouse, but I' too lazy to install its software so i'm stuck with 5 keys (and the free roll button for the middle mouse -- it helps a lot to be said -)! Also what i usually call the F-16 is either "UGLY" or "Boring" !

They changed it a bit in the past few days. You ARB guys probably haven't felt the change but we Sim guys sense it. The low speed handling has changed just a bit, you can now pull the F-16 into a tight enough turn to stall it out and fall from the sky. Also means you can now pull the nose up at higher AOA for truly impressive shots(for an F-16). Speaking of shots, they reduced the sensitivity in SAS Dampening, it's not snapping up and down as it once did so getting guns on is much more viable. I've found I can now reliably get gun kills whereas before my nose violently bounced up and down from the slightest input, again in SAS Dampening mode in Sim. Overall, the change has really brought out the smoothness, agility and finesse this FBW jet is truly capable of, in sim at least. It really hasn't changed the overall feel of the jet, just the fine control at low speed and requires a bit more attention to flying on the edge of the low speed envelope as to avoid becoming a crater in the ground.
