In your opinion, what is the best looking Fighter Jet ever made? I have always been personally partial to Jets like the F-4 and F-14 as they were on the tail end of the analog designed aircraft. There is something special about these Third and Early Fourth Gen Fighters.

Bo, several years ago, when I was an Underground Utility Line Locator, I was working behind Fort Polk, LA, locating some Underground phone lines so that the contractor could dig safely in the work area. I watched as 2 A10s lifted off from inside the base and they flew straight over me. I thought it was so cool to see real A10s training for missions when both of them climbed straight up, circled around and came screaming out of the sky straight at me and my truck! Like, I know I was safe and that they were just fucken with me but there was still a small part of me that was working hard not to fill my pants as I stared up at that 30mm Gatlin Gun pointed straight at my face. I didn't know what to do, so I just stood my ground and threw them both a salute as they roared by! They were so low by the time they pulled back up just above the tree line that I could see the pilots laughing as they waved at me going by!

@@botimegaming Fort Polk was such an amazing place. I got to go on base so much that they finally gave me a hard Civilian pass so that I didn't have to stop and go register inside the shack every day. I only got to see a 10th of the base inside but just knowing that I was on Hallowed Ground from the base that trained the Army Rangers how to scale the cliffs of Normandy to the modern urban gun and run of Iraq made me such a proud American. Everyday you'd hear bombs and shit exploding as they trained in urban warfare inside an entire mock up middle eastern city. Then at night a different team would come in and rebuild it all for the next day. Outside of the base on the road leading up to the gate was nothing but wall to wall army surplus stores. I waisted a lot of company time looking through those places! 🤣

I worked in the ER with a doc who was former Air Force and he flew both the F-4 and the F-16. Said that the F-16 was just beautiful with slight joystick movements making the plane do magical things with its fly-by-wire system. The F-4 on the other hand was just a brute. The power, he said, was just amazing when you really pinned the throttle.
@majorborngusfluunduch86946 ай бұрын
"Slight Joystick movements" means something different than you might realize. The F-16 has a pressure sensitive stick that either doesn't move (F-16A) or moves very slightly (F-16C). Apparently, some early F-16A pilots would hurt their hand pulling hard on the stick, so that's why they added a little bit of give to the stick in later models.

I wish Gaijin had included some standard squadron schemes with this $70 jet. Dont get me wrong, the scheme it comes in is cool, but I prefer schemes like the one in the vid, or the ones the F-4J comes with. The USS Midway was the last carrier to operate Phantoms until the F/A-18 entered service since the Midways were too small to carry F-14s. Why no USS Midway paint schemes for the F-4S then? On a side note, there is nothing more satisfying than a successful Sparrow shot.
