(No hate to the F15 & 16, proven aircraft), but if you had to make a decision between F22's, F35's, F15's, and F16's, probably go with the new generations. All depends on the mission aspects n' stuff.
@cxaf420 Жыл бұрын
@@RonM.yea but the escorts being 4th gen is still viable. you just gotta have like 3 or 4 f-22s to go in and secure the airspace, and then you just have the f-16s and 15 protect the strike group and b-2s and once the airspace is clear then it doesn’t matter for stealth because by the time they realize the enemy is there it’s too late

Great thing about the Raptor, is having an AWACS. Having your own radar on in the F22 is completely giving away your position. Using an AWACS or another visible fighter, is that the F22 can use the datalink to launch its missiles at its targets and the targets have absolutely no idea what just launched them. The AWACS or other planes can guide the missiles onto target or at least until they get in range to go pitbull.
@BullsMahunny Жыл бұрын
And what's even worse, for others anyway, is once we get IBCS up and running. Once that's working, our entire battle net will basically talk to everything else. Oh, the satellite hanging over the battle space detects an aircraft 100km away from the F22? Bet. Pitch your nose up and I got it. And the system will take command of the missile and launch it - ITSELF - from the F22, or the AEGIS cruiser in the ocean, or wherever and guide the missile itself toward the target. Plane no longer needed. It will bounce command of that missile to anything it determines would have the best connection or chance of success. It's Skynet level stuff.

@@msytdc1577 Not the LPIR argument again... >.> even the US government has released data on detecting LPIR's. Do more googling. This tech is not new. Sure, the newest of new models may work perfectly for a short time but our peer enemies have more than enough capability of listening and learning exactly how to identify LPIR's. Since we have had F22's flying around Syria forever....how much do you want to bet that Russia has learned a thing or two? What about China in the South China sea? Think they've been listening?
@sombraarthur10 ай бұрын
Or at least until they have to go against ECMs. Russians have some really good ones, able to interfere with missile guidances and jam AWACS tracking by sending back pings in the same frequency and modulation, by messing with the current coordinates being sent. The only thing the Khibinys can't do, is to fight IR warheads.
