The F-35 gets a lot of hate. But you think it’s designed to replace NATO’s F-16, F-18, Harrier and Tornado fleets and all the capabilities they have all in one go. It’s amazing.

Where were you filming from? Can you get up close to the fence or did you have someone else supporting your four foot long lens?

Get as close to the perimeter fence as you like - public photography is not a crime! But he must be using a telephoto for some of these awesome shots (fence is still a relatively long way from the runway).

James filmed this for me but I was from the Eastern End, you will see a road that runs past the Eastern side and a field on the left, you should see other enthusiasts but make sure you are on private land, I would also suggest googling. Hope you have a good day

Short-range missile mounts. The U.S. uses the AIM-9X Sidewinder. I think the U.K. uses the AIM-134 ASRAAM.
