Will the Marine Corps be utilizing the F-35B and F-35C just dependent if it is on a small sized carrier vs like a Nimitz class carrier?

Naturally, the F-35B was meant for these shorter carriers. I believe the F-35C has a longer range than the F-35B as well.

The C has a bigger wing and heavier landing gear and an arresting hook. C is the only one that can land on conventional carriers. B is the only one that can land vertically and do short take offs. So I guess if marines are going to swap out their F18s on normal carriers then yes, they will have to use The C variant.

Also, because the C has a 40% bigger wing than the A or B, it has the longest range out of all of them.
