I might be wrong on this, but I’m fairly sure if you change your sight back to “Missile” it resets the depression angle. So when you talk about not having a vector - I know you settled on using the top of the sight - but binding left and right on the sight setting dial you can just spin it left for the set up and then right for the attack.

I honestly never thought I would see the day you would fly an F-5E and I am not sure if I should be happy you found a great module or sad that your convictions were compromised :) I hadn't thought about using the top of the sight reticule as an aim off point. I usually use the height of the vertical metal pieces that hold the reflecting glass as my flight path guide but I will have to try your method and see how it works. The beauty of the F-5E is that it sits in a sweet spot between a trainer and a module you can take on a PvP server without being a blind target. It is a great vehicle to learn the fundamentals because there are not a million systems to learn and distract you. It is also a dangerous opponent if piloted by someone that has a sense of what they are doing.

I won’t say my way is better and it sure isn’t the Air Force way, but I’ve had a lot of success with 33mils depression and approaching @ 350knt & 7000-10000 feet agl to start with the target to my side. I watch the target slide down just above the canopy rail until it reaches that bit of red tape(?) and then pull into the target as you do. I throttle back and descend at about 35-40 degrees with pipper below the target (maybe halfway between the pipper and the top of the circle. Then I’m counting down the altimeter. About a thousand feet before release I gently pull the pipper up to the target and release at either 3000 or 2000 feet agl above the target (3000 for a building or 2000 for something smaller like a vehicle). Throttle up and gently pull away. I’m aiming below the target initially because if the target fires I find that it’s harder for it to calculate aim when I’m not heading directly for them. Don’t know why it works for me but I had a lot of difficulties with other methods no matter how much I practiced. So I made adjustments to what I read in Chuck’s Guide instead.

Denizens! That sounds interesting! I’ve never been a denizen before. Not that I know of.

Any chance you'd make a video on Enigma's Cold War server or against enemies that shoot. A couple times I've done dive attacks on tanks and been killed.

There are a few videos like that on my channel, mostly with older jets, and truthfully, mostly with rockets. I will think about adding some more. Thanks for the suggestion.

Use the pop-up attack tutorial. No matter what though, you’re going to take fire

Can you link to a Sully video, as you reference in the video? Thank you for the vid. Excellent work, once again.

Sully has several videos. I have given a link to his channel in the description.

@@Sidekick65 thank you, I really appreciate it. I love the way you approach bombing in DCS. Its just enough of the math and science, combined with common sense. I recommend your videos constantly to people.

Hey excellent video, do you have the parameters for bombing in each plane ?
@Sidekick65 Жыл бұрын
Not really, at least not in the way you probably mean. I have a method that I try to use and then for each aircraft I kind of have to adapt it. Whenever I switch aircraft I have to go back and practice a bit but I can usually get up to speed with a bit of time on the range. I think I have a video on my channel for pretty much all of the planes I fly.

Is this target track script included in DCS or is it possible to download it?

It's included in the range mission which is available on my Discord
