I love the f-18 I used to fix them in the navy , they are amazing . I remember we were at nas Fallon to practice dropping bombs , a pilot left his knee board in the cockpit I found it and the mission was hunting scuds in the Iraq desert . A few months later we were deployed to the Persian gulf for the first gulf war

royalordinance EF-18G is the Growler....started replacing the over 50 year old EA-6B back around 2010 ish. The EA-6B has a crew of four this does the same mission but much faster, and with a crew of two. Normally the designation for F/A-18 would be. F/A-18A, C and E. single seat. B, D and F are two seaters. If it was a newer F/A-18 the G would be single seat but because it is a Electronic Warfare it is E/F-18 G. F is primary mission (Fighter) and A (Attack) E and F models started coming on around late 90’s/early 2000 ish and has taken over the mission of the A-6, F-14 and EA-6B even can be used as a airborne tanker. Great multi role aircraft, it can ground attack a target and fight its way back to the ship if necessary.

I love flying the hornet in flight sims, but since I have ET which is classified as a progressive disease I've got literally no chance flying no matter how good my physical condition or eyesight is. +zecheriah vassar opening a window wouldn't change the g-force directly. The drag it would create which would slow the aircraft might, but nothing crazy. Mainly the wind would assfuck you, not the g-force (which only occurs due to acceleration/deceleration, and yes, turning is actually acceleration, vectors n' shit)

I was in logistics. Never a day went by that I didn’t think about and deeply respect each & every pilot. We did whatever it took to keep them airborne, combat ready. Great men & women. Think of their lineage, the Battle of Britain says it all. Two of my most praised possessions: 1) a picture of a F-16 autographed by a fantastic squadron commander & 2) a plaque from the Wing Dep Cmdr for Ops on my PCS. Pilots are a fine, rare breed that the Air Force nor the nation can never do without. All pilots have my deep respect - they have our back when in battle for us all. Never let a pilot go without……period.8
