Also Boeing: "WOW! Your model kit looks as worn as the oldest Super Hornets (2000) do now!" Seriously. I think the first production lot Super Hornets (E and F models) are about service life expired unless they underwent structural reinforcement. The airframes were originally guaranteed to 6000hrs but the Navy was looking at extending to 8000 and possibly 10,000hrs per plane. The Super Hornet will be around until at least the 2030s and possibly the 2040s. Production has already been extended past the original contract. The F-35 is just too expensive and it's not reliable no matter what the Lockheed fanboys say. I think the Navy is buying less than 300 F-35C's.

I love the names the Japanese modeling companies give their model paints and glues. "Mr. Paint!" "Mr. Glue!" It's either very basic English or someone in that modeling industry has a sense of humor... It's actually charming. Cute and gets to the point! In Europe and the US, they'd probably label the glues "Mr. Brain Damage if You Smell Me Too Long" and the paints "Mr. NEVER the Same Color Twice!"

"So I made special tools". I've been doing that almost 40 years. Most of my builds spawned micro-saws, micro-chisels, bores and awls, scribing templates and panel patterns specific to the make and model. Your video production values and pacing are eminently watchable, from a fellow modeller who can't leave kit parts alone! It's a matter of technical necessity that I correct glaring or subtle inaccuracies. I have so many similar "pecadillos" while kit-bashing. And it's nice to see someone else do a lot of them, too, in a compact and extensive summary. Now and then I have received surprised comments, from builds I post, that, "It's 1/72nd?! It looks 1/48th!" That has to be the ultimate compliment. Thank you for taking the time and putting in the effort to produce these wonderful "How-to" episodes.

The colored foil is an AMAZING IDEA. just wow! Those would look so cool on the optical system of tanks and other vehicles that usually have that purple hue to it.

That sir is some of the best inspirational modelling I have ever seen. I showed it to my wife who said why does he do it. I said “ because he can my dear.” Brilliant.

Just tremendous. Anyone in to modeling knows that there are a myriad of skill sets and varying degrees of expertise within all of them. As you build more and more kits, your skill level becomes evident. Almost like a time-line of progress in the hobby. I am astounded by David's inventiveness in applying multiple skill sets together and...well, just the breadth of his knowledge in materials, casting, technique, and, well, Jesus,...just the fact that he knows MULTIPLE ways to achieve effects with different materials, paint techniques, or applications. As impressive as his casting ability is ("casted using a vacuum resin caster to remove bubbles," cus who doesn't have 30 of those lying around?), its his painting that makes him a true artist. It is the hardest technique for most modelers to learn and to learn to do very well. Mixing consistent ratios, steadiness of hand on small parts, nozzle size and psi on airbrushing for different applications, etc, are all issues burgeoning modelers struggle with. David is an absolute master of every displayed discipline. Superb results out of a very modest kit. I am in awe.
