Maybe it would have happened anyway but it looked like Curt Hennig created this from start to finish and this is not the first time I think he was also behind Scott Hall beating up Marty Jannetty. Curt Hennig deserved to get knocked out too for stirring sh#t

Jacques Rougeau is a real man. The same goes for his brother Ray. Unlike The Dynamite Kid who preferred to strike when his opponents were unaware. To find out for yourself, check out Jacques & Rays individual interviews. Jacques was traumatized by the unprovoked beating he received, so after some time he decided to get some payback. After some fight training Jacques (with Ray watching his back) went looking for The Dynamite Kid, even though The Hart Foundation were in the building, with the view to giving The Kid what he deserved. I have a lot of respect for Jacques and Ray. They are real men and they did not run away from there problems.

Thanks BOX, yes Dynamite was tough as nails and he was certainly sucker punched, Rougeau wasn't a Wus but will go down in history as one due to this event. Subnenio, Lanny Poffo talks about it as well on Hannibal TV. Dynamite supposedly deserved what he got, but it was a chicken sh*t shot.

This was nearly 30 years ago. He wasn't even in the building. He knows what he was told about the incident. And he knows what Dynamite, Jacques & Raymond were like as people. The one thing he got wrong about the story, was that it happened In Fort Wayne, Indiana. Not Toledo, Ohio.

Here's what I think of The Dynamite Kid: He, to me, is one of those examples of a guy who SHOULD have been looked at as a guy who influenced many great wrestlers like Chris Benoit and many others. he also SHOULD be looked at as one of the greatest wrestlers in pro wrestling history. but because of everything he did and all the things that happened to him, he is a guy you look at and realize if you allow the business to completely consume you it will eventually lead to your downfall. he's a guy you look at and say "I don't wanna be end up like what The Dynamite Kid has become." its really sad. because I believe Tom Billington is a Hall of Famer as himself and as a tag team with Davey as the British Bulldogs. he should be looked at as a guy who busted his ass for years to become a big star that many wrestling fans can look up to. but you can't look at him like that. it's very sad. and the worse thing about it is that I think the only way he will ever be inducted into the Hall of Fame is after he passes away eventually. he's just so bitter and hates everybody. not to mention you can't understand him good because he mumbles a lot when he speaks. so I do respect all the things that The Dynamite Kid has done, and I do think he's an all time great, but because of his actions in his personal life, he's just another wrestler that's living in the shadows.

I respect both the Bulldogs and the Rougeaus. Both teams work in the ring was fun to watch but lets just cut to the chase. Dynamite was a known bully. Great wrestler or not, its the truth. What happened here is that Dynamite ( a known tough guy) got punked by a guy that everyone knew was not a tough guy. When bullies get what is coming to them in front of others it does exactly what Bret said. It breaks their spirit. A guy I went to school with had the same thing happen to him. He was an infamous bully until that day he picked on the wrong guy who beat his ass in front of half the school. Once that aura was gone, he had nothing.

Similar thing happened at my elementary school. There was this big bully. At recess we were playing outside and he wanted to start rough-housing. This smaller kid was his target this time. Big mistake. After he made the smaller kid cry we helped him up and dusted him off. I can still remember seeing the look of revenge he had on his face. He started charging at the bully and did a Roman Reigns-like Superman Punch in him. Busted his nose! We were all like "Yeaaah!" The bully started crying ran to the teacher. From then on all the bullying stopped.

Rofl at bret blaming the rougeau brothers receipt as the reason for dynamite kid's life fail. I'm a fan of bret but that's some pathetic revisionist history/wishful thinking. Long story short dynamite is a POS who has no one to blame but himself. Also the rougeaus didn't run away.

Dynamite never realised that while he had the "little guy complex", Quebecers have the ultimate little guy complex cause of history. They had been humiliated, their pride was at stake, they had to strike back. Never attack the pride of a Quebecer.

I have heard so many versions of this story bret hart's version is more believable to me. It's a pretty chicken shit thing to do to hit a guy with a roll of quarters and then run to hide in vince's office and lock the door. His brother ray couldn't do anything to help his brother because he was on crutches, I have heard Jacque's version but I find bret's version more believable.
