The way I describe it is: For higher difficulties, I want to feel like I’m playing against a team, not playing against the game itself. Like in year 2 of my Sam Houston rebuild, I beat Texas A&M and Georgia back to back in their stadiums, and it was by a considerable amount each. But then I had 2 home games against FCS Southeast (won 59-56) and then Mid Tennessee (Lost 35-21). In both games, defense did nothing and I was having to fight through bad pass rng. It’s so stupid. The older games like 2k5 felt like the teams were good, and not like you were having to play against cheating AI

I play on all-American with sliders and I still notice the CPU cheating. It’s pretty much guaranteed that they’ll score in the 2 minute drill. Also would always get running into the punter and that would extend their drives. Also the pursuit angles and DB logic is so bad for your team, if they want to score they will score. It makes it feel like you are watching predetermined animations play out instead of influencing the game.

All facts yo. My first game I was Maryland vs Georgia State and they put up 40 on me! I was like there’s no way next game against Kennsaw State I won but it was way closer than it needed to be. Heisman is exactly like all madden they play above their overalls and cheat just to keep it close pretty much. I can’t justify it or start a dynasty due to dynasty’s own bugs and problems but then add Heisman difficulty cheese and it’ll be borderline impossible. The horrible tackling and angles, robo qbs going 20-25 250+ 2 TDS you pray for a incompletion you throwing a million picks a game I’m good. The ONLY time I can say ANY FCS team gave me a challenge was back in 2018 I made a Idaho dynasty with its real rosters back on the PS3 and they sent the game to OT I won but WAY too close. Then NCAA 06 (which I’m having a lot of fun with currently) created a school with a cupcake roster scheduled FCS they beat the breaks off us😂other than that ANY FCS game is a stat pad game shouldn’t have to sweat or actually focus and play. I really wanted to like this game and be optimistic about it but it’s like I still have fun but investing serious time and falling in love with it can’t do it.

I with you man I was playing Arkansas who doesn’t have a great QB he started the game 20-20 throwing and only had 2 incompletions the entire game with 5 TDS mean while I’m throwing 4 picks just in the first quarter alone. The games trash especially the ranking system. In my dynasty Georgia started off 0-2 and still managed to stay in the top 3 even though there were teams undefeated below them.

I play “play now” primarily and my other dynasties are in coach mode. I can’t get motivated to play Dynasty as the user. Something about the gameplay and features prevent me from getting into it.

New NCAA = Frostbite FPS Garbage which is animation based gameplay. They aren’t comparable. Animation based gameplay and increased difficulty means more predecided outcomes out of the players hands. Old NCAA Heisman difficulty didn’t increase CPU speed threshold and it definitely didn’t let your lineman get blown up every play against sub-par competition. It’s almost impossible to run play-action or run the ball, especially on RTG. College Football 25 difficulty is lazy and extremely artificial whereas NCAA 14 just felt more realistic. Probably because it was a better game.

In NCAA 14, the only time the infinity engine would produce physics-based collisions in tackling is when you controlled the defender. CPU-CPU was exclusively animation based. Users colliding with CPU ball-carriers already in tackling animations did not affect the ball carrier. Infuriatingly, this meant that gang-tackling was non-existent, and rallying to the ball was often bad timing to the point you couldn’t trigger an animation to get a tackle and the ball-carrier would run free as if you weren’t there. Furthermore, the animations in NCAA 14 far too often resulted in broken tackles and/or ball carriers falling forward a ludicrous distance in spite of any momentum, size, or ratings disparities between defenders and ball carriers. Ultimately, the optimal way to play defense in NCAA 14 was to play forever to get really good at pursuit angles and dive at the ball carrier as he approached to trigger a physics-based collision. Alternatively, a hit stick could be used but only if the defender had a rating in the 90s, otherwise the hit would be shrugged off by any ball-carrier. This to say, NCAA 14s tackling and defensive gameplay was awful. To date, it is the worst simulation football video game I’ve ever played, and I’ve been playing since Madden 04, NFL 2K5, and NCAA 03.

If you recall in NCAA 14, o-line blocking was one of EAs selling point because at the cut screen during the loading up phase of a game, EA told you, real blocking that was designed by an actual nfl lineman, guess he wasn’t available for ncaa 25😢

I honestly thought this was my experience because I was playing with 2 star schools. So I started a Dynasty on Heisman with Texas A&M and the experience was still the exact same. Like games are winnable, but to me it doesn't feel like the game is hard, it's just broken on Heisman. It's fake difficulty if that makes sense. No 90 overall quarterback is fumbling everytime they get hit smh. The harder difficulties in sports games is way different nowadays. Not only that but when I went to pause the game to look at the replay it wouldn’t let me!! Lol

I kid you not, I have never, on any sports game, watched as many replays as I have on this game. It has been one of the most frustrating football games I’ve ever played. I’ve seen terrible (or non-existent) blocking, terrible pursuit angles, cornerbacks just getting burnt without pressing, safeties taking off across the field, etc.. Just ridiculous. AI pass coverage is amazing and my dudes just stand and watch. AI blocking is amazing, but my oline acts like they don’t see anyone in front of them. Playing on All-American and Heisman, the QBs are basically Tom Brady. They find EVERY HOLE IN EVERY ZONE. It’s like instant snap and throw every time. I don’t get it. Glad I’m not the only one. 😂

I have a QB on RTG and I threw a pick on 2nd and goal on a Texas route when all my back had to do was catch the ball but instead he jumped and when he got hit, the ball popped 10 feet in the air. Up to that point I played super sweaty trying to make all of the right reads but when the game decides it’s time for you to lose there’s nothing you can do. Not to mention my QB has maxed out accuracy and he was missing speed outs on the short side of the field with the DB 10 yards off. That’s when I knew that just like madden, this would be a game that after maybe a year or two, I wouldn’t be buying anyone.

Just finished a dynasty season on heisman. I broke virtually every passing /receiving record but had to of had the worst statistical defense of all time. Every game was 35+ points for both teams. Had a couple games that were in the 60-70s for both teams.

A random cpu db wants all the sudden move completely out the way for the wr to catch the ball. Playing Georgia in Georgia on Heisman lol, every guy in the front 7 will all get pancaked all at the same and the running back breaks for a long td.

5:54 This is definitely still a problem. on lower difficulties sometimes offensive lineman just completely miss or ignore assignments especially on running plays. Because the game is so much more difficult on hyphen mode I'm sure it feels so much worse because that one play means a lot more. Blocking has been in need of a rework since ever. So this is a problem we're going to continue to have. Regardless of difficulty adjustments. I hope to see a change but it would take a significant amount of work. So my hopes aren't high

All facts! Been playing on Heisman my whole dynasty with adjusted sliders. I finally win a natty, next year I schedule a 75 ovr Georgia Southern as a 89 ovr team, number 2 in the nation at home, and I get in a shootout and win off a gw TD in OT. 44-38, make it make sense! They scored everytime I did, yet when I simmed my 89 Offense couldn’t move the ball and now they couldn’t score either. Ridiculous

The blocking issue is crazy because how do you run chest to chest with someone just for no blocking animation. This what we mean by animation based bs, because it’s one thing to miss a block, I’ll be able to read a missed block/blocker getting beat, or even just get in his way sometimes the defender pushing/running around the blocker is the exact split second we need. but it’s impossible to read the defenders literally BUMPING SHOULDERS with the blocker but he lets him right through. “Physics based gameplay” tho right smh

This is the same case on RTG on Heisman. I would often find the simulation putting me in bad situations. My RB would make a 60+ rush and end up in the redzone and get taken out. Meanwhile, my team would not even score a 3 point conversion during the simulation. Then when my player gets back in, its usually a 2nd or 3rd and long situation plus the opponent AI has scored a touchdown during the sim. Everytime it seems like blockers miss assignments or the QB throws a pick six and it just becomes an uphill battle.

Bro when the game launched for early access I was a ranked LSU at home and struggled against the Pandas who were rated the same as me at the time which was 86 and they were tied with me until the last 20 seconds of the game when I scored the winning touchdown. This was on all American. I dropped down to varsity and it’s to easy I literally just put up 108 points on Florida in their house. This game definitely is trash.

Facts, Also a lot of these screamers are not playing on Heisman or All American, they screen record their game like their playing on Heisman or All American and allow their viewers to think they are beating teams like Alabama, Georgia, The Ohio State and Texas with 1,2 or 3 star schools on Heisman no way the game is close to being competitive I guarantee that, so y’all don’t be fooled thanking these lying screamers are playing on Heisman or All American with these low level teams and beating these top ranked teams on Heisman or All American is almost impossible with a low ranked team, the top teams always recruit the best players in the nation and trust me you can’t even come close to competing with the best teams with them getting the best players every year in recruiting

The game has flaws which I’d 100% agree but I’ve noticed that it does not allow people to spam the same few plays like they have been used to being able to do the last several years in Madden. Those of us that can actually call a decent game on each side of the ball still have the ability to blow teams out on Heisman we are constantly mixing up the playcalling.

So many people are missing the point in the comments. I can't really defend. Especially on 3rd down. On offense i get pressured pretty much instantly. I thought playing on higher difficulty also makes my player smarter and not like they never been on a field before. No matter which team you go against, they have such a big boost that it's just not fun to play against. Yes you can beat them with cheese tactics. But that's not really fun if you try to play "real" football.

I only play dynasty on CFB 25. I play on varsity i cant run the ball at all. Im in my 4th season it seems like my players are getting slow while the cpu can read any play i do. the drop catching in this game is crazy. when the cpu can get hit stick and hold on the ball . Also the tackling in this game for players controlled is crazy. Im losing fun in this because it unrealistic i shouldnt be struggling against teams that are having a down year if my team is 8-1 and playing OSU and they are 5-4 they shouldnt be able to over power me some times it feels like i dont have any time to pass the ball getting sack 1 second after the ball snap, missed blocks, predetermined interception, this game is designed to allow the cpu to get back into the game.

I realized the game be cheating when I got my 4th roughing the punter call in 5 games. I even took the guy on the left side that kept getting the call and pushed him back. The dude on the right that never got through somehow does and gets the RTP call. That was my last game of the day. Game can be fun at times but when the bs keeps happening I can only play 2 games at a time before I need a break.

Because it is cheap and easy... higher difficulites = arbitrary stat modifiers and cheats... thats literally it. Its like borderlands or halo, the higher difficulty settings just give the enemies more health while reducing the players. They dont adjust the cpu to use more effective tactics or utilize cover better, they just make them bullet sponges.

I was winning 28 - 14 against the CPU in Online Dynasty and the game "crashed" with 1 minute left in the 4th quarter for some reason And then I did a rematch cus it didn't award me the Win and my players were BRAINLESS I had: - Receivers running the wrong routes - A few DBs blitzing in zone plays - Defensive Linemen REFUSING to sack the QB - Had players roughing the kicker And after that I quit the match and told the Dynasty Creator to just give me the L cus I can't take Heisman anymore

What i did is keep it at hesiman and change the pass blocking for user to 90 and cpu to 20 , for tackling user to 100 and cpu to 0. The coverage i moved the user to 80 and cpu to 20. Cpu still finds ways to offset everything, but it keeps the game more balanced .
