If I understand correctly this hymn is actually banned by the Church of Sweden due to it being considered to be too nationalistic. I think I read somewhere they wanted to amend it at some point in time but it was still in copyright then so they couldn't do so.

Not really banned but it was removed from the psalmbook and is frowned upon. There was a recent event where this song played during a confirmation.
