I’m about 5 hours into this game. I was even playing at 5am this morning before work. It’s honestly a blast. Definitely one of my favorites so far this year

Im 5 hours into the game and on ps4 runs like trash.........I have already requested for a refund. Framedrops and pop ups all over the place.

Honestly I didn't know about it until they approached us :( I think unfortunately their marketing wasn't very good and it got lost with the other releases.

Already played it on my PS5. I was pleasantly surprised. It was very fun and a solid "Metroidvania". It wasn't very apparent from the marketing.

Even though the combat isn't my favorite, I couldn't put the game down. Put 30 hours into it and would give it a solid 9/10. There's nothing incredibly new, but it does what it does soooo well.

What didn't you like abt the combat? I thought it was the best part of the game. The combos you can pull off are absolutely insane when you get good at the combat system. I think fist has the best combat system I've ever seen in a side scroller.

@@YeOldeMachine i just don't like the beat 'em up style. I definitely prefer the more soulslike combat but it wasn't a deal breaker by any means, it was a nice change of pace for sure. The combat parts felt a little too easy after learning the combos, only thing that gave me some trouble was one of the optional bosses.

@@jacob5061 I typically like slower, more methodical combat as well, but I thought the system in this game was just brilliant and fit more with the game's style. I found a lot of the areas and bosses to be really engaging and challenging. Some areas were easy for me, but I felt challenged in most places after abt the midway point in the game. I just thought it was so good how you could pull of a 10-15 hit combo while using special attacks and switching weapons. The movement felt so nice and zippy too. I had an absolute blast with it, and I'm not typically a fan of the genre.

Bout time this game gets some love. Better than Metroid Dread in nearly every way. I played it on release and it's the 1st time I was actually blown away by a Metroidvania.

@@YeOldeMachine metroid fanboys put metroid games over everything just because of the name "metroid" in the title. I played both and fist was so much better. Fist also gave me 4x the playtime at half the price! I don't hate Metroid games by any means, but people are rating Dread really high when it's a $60 MV that feels hella linear.

@@jacob5061 agreed man. I was really excited for Dread, but after playing FIST, it was disappointing. Metroid is pretty good, but FIST is exceptional. The combat system is absolutely insane.

Is dodging based like dead cells/ salt and sanctuary (dodging through enemies and attacks) or is it just used for positioning?
