In case you needed someone to tell you this today: Hey. It’s okay to forgive yourself. Killing yourself with guilt isn’t going to move you forward. Forgive yourself and plant the seeds to move on. 🌱 Sincerely, Some Rando Bitch on the Interwebz

I heard a therapist say that there's a difference between shame and guilt. Shame is thinking I did something bad, so I am an inherently bad person, and I can't change. Healthy guilt is thinking I did something bad, but I'm a good person, so I'm going to learn from my mistake and make amends where I can, and change my behavior from here on out. Forgiveness isn't just healthy for you, it's actually more beneficial for the people around you. If I realize I can move forward and change and do better after making a mistake, then I'm going to be less afraid to confront my own mistakes. Shame puts a halt to personal growth.

Why is she so deep and talented 💞 Btw I want say something, hear me out. She once said that she was afraid of her channel growing and losing the audience she currently has and to be honest, I can tell, really. If she did wanted her channel to grow and get more subscribers she would just upload bad content and she would not be this honest with us. Also the fact that people here are wholesome, i just wanted to thank Emily for creating such a safe place and awesome content... I really hope you read this Emily :) Edit: OMG Emily hearted this?! :O She actually read and even hearted this! Thank y'all SO MUCH for liking this I'm really glad she could see it.

I love how intentional you are with your editing. That takes timeee to sync to music and you do it so purposefully. Such a beautiful message with the animation and everything. I also love that you can just post a 3 minute video and that’s completely okay! I feel so much pressure to post 10min videos that I forget that sometimes the simpler the better and more engaging it can be. I always feel bad when I post 5 min videos but if I enjoyed what I created who cares? You are so talented and I’m so proud to be a part of this wholesome community around your channel 🖤

i dont have as much of a difficulty in forgiving myself, than this problem: i feel like i'm not worthy to talk about my "lil boohoos" when so many people have it worse than me. i dont want to trouble, burden others with my problems. i should be grateful for what I have, but it's hard when everything seems to go wrong.

You witch ... my boyfriend broke up with me a week ago after 8 years and guilt is eating me up because I realized that I ruined the relationship. I know it takes two to make it work but I was in a really dark mentality and always blamed him for my unhappiness and was generally toxic. One hand I’m glad he ended it because I was on a downward spiral but on the other hand I really want a second chance because my eyes have been opened after years... he never said the things that bothered him or I did not listen.
@Rinrinribbon3 жыл бұрын
I've been with my partner for 4 years and this comment is eerily like my relationship situation. It's great that you can see which areas that you are toxic in. I have something called Boderline - one of the traits of this is,I can be unnecessarily toxic and manipulative if certain emotions are triggered the cycle of guilt is horrible. I read this, and I see a person who is getting consumed by guilt. Find a healthy balance of accountability and forgiveness for yourself. Mistakes happen and in my philosophy, even huge mistakes can be forgiven with time.
