Cab view of Fujikyuko. This video covers 3.0km from Mt. Fuji Station to Kawaguchiko Station.
Fujisan Station is a switchback station, where the train changes direction and heads towards Kawaguchiko Station. Between Otsuki Station, the terminal of this line, and Fujisan Station,

The line from Otsuki Station to Fujisan Station has a steep slope of 40‰, but the route from Fujisan Station to Kawaguchiko Station is relatively flat, and the train's steps are light and it quickly arrives at the terminal station. .
Fuji-Q Highland Station, an intermediate station, was opened for access to the Fuji-Q Highland amusement park. The old timer that appears at the end of the video is the "Mo1 class" that was introduced when this line opened, and was in operation from 1929 to 1977.

Mt. Fuji is a volcano (most recently erupted in 1707) and has a unique style with no nearby mountains. Therefore, it can be seen beautifully from any direction and is loved by Japanese people.

Thank you, Ikesan, for taking us on this short journey! Switchback routes are always very interesting as a railway lover... most recently I discovered two long videos from the KZbinr "AUNZ RAILFAN": trips on the "Kisuki Line" between Shinji/Minami Shinji and Bingo Ochiai - also on this line there is a switchback in the "Izumo Sakane" station! In addition to the Enoshima line, the Kisuki line is my second love 😉 - these rides through the beautiful Japanese towns and natural landscapes are simply wonderful 👍

Thank you for your comment. The Kisuki Line is currently being considered for closure. The route is truly beautiful during the spring season of fresh greenery. I believe that the privatization of the Japanese National Railways was a failure.

Thank you for the trip on this short line. I enjoyed it very much and especially when you focused on Mount Fuji. It was a very spectacular view of this majestic mountain.

Thank you for your comment. This time it was a short trip, so I'm sure your stomach wasn't full. I shot a 50 minute video today. I'd like to edit it and upload it in a few days.

I enjoyed this short ride. Besides the interesting line side scenery, that spectacular view of Mt Fuji rising above the station had to be the best view of the mountain in all of the videos of yours that have shown it. That view is a keeper!

Thank you for your comment. Mt. Fuji looks more beautiful in the spring with some snow than in the middle of summer without snow.
