F/V Wizard from Deadliest Catch | Out of Drydock!! | Captain Keith Tying Fenders

Here is Ballard of Seattle we are always blessed to have a great number of the Deadliest Catch boats here in the "off-season" getting maintenance and staying out of the salt. After another rough season, the Wizard was back in Dry Dock at Pacific Fisherman's for some much-needed metal, paint and annodes.

I looked up what the vessel covered in graffiti, it's an (former) Icelandic Coast Guard Vessel Albert. Built in 1956 and decommisioned in 1978. Apparently it's been sitting in Seattle for some time.

You would have to be doing well to cut your income and still have a boat like that.

Not really. I make just over minimum wage in Seattle; closer to the poverty line than middle class. It's much less expensive than even a cheap apartment and certainly less than a house these days. I've learned how to maintain the systems which certainly cuts down on maintenance costs. Cheers,
