I think many of the UKs heritage, narrow gauge and preserved lines should petition Grant Shapps so they can run regular daily passenger services.

Congratulations. But it strikes me that a considerable part of the FR's heritage is its innovation. Are there any moves afoot to look into alternative forms of locomotion? With the world needing to move towards banning the use of fossil fuels in the next ten years or so, it concerns me that much of railway preservation's still obsessed with bringing extinct steam and diesel locomotives back from the dead instead of starting a new heritage more in keeping with the times. I personally love to see these reminders of my childhood, but reality threatens to knock us on the head.
