I like seeing people play Climax now and realizing its actually a good game and not just dismissing it as "not really an F-Zero game because it's based on the anime." And yeah, having Climax with a lot of other players online would be great. In single player, you race against 30 computers. Having 30 people to race against sounds like fun.

I ain't gonna lie, I may have thought this for GP Legend back in the day. I owned Maximum Velocity but not GP Legend then again I didn't own a GBA anymore thats the real reason I didn't bother with it. I do know I dismissed Mega Man Battle Network cause of the anime I didn't care for. I just had this thought that "this isn't my Mega Man".

The same way Switch slowly became the Metroid machine, I love how its also becoming an F-Zero machine, speaking of which if we ever do get a new game they should make a character with a machine based off the Switch’s design or any version of the Switch console, all that’s left is GX to be on Switch for the full F-Zero experience on Switch!

Some of Platinum cups courses are based off of the original F-Zero courses because they’re a holdover from GP Legend. The Platinum Cup in that game are all just F-Zero SNES courses.

(11:54) The way the online works for some of the Nintendo Switch Online apps (SNES, Sega Genesis, GB/GBC, and GBA) is that it uses the rewinding functionality to create a pseudo rollback Netcode infrastructure. That's why you might be playing with a friend with red Wi-Fi bars in any of those apps and not notice any internet lag. Oh, and if you're wondering why the NES wasn't mentioned, despite that having a rewind feature, it's because they added the rewind option in an update, whereas the online was there from the beginning.

The Platinum Cup in GP Legend had 8 tracks from the original F-Zero. The Platinum Cup in Climax has 4 tracks remixed from the original F-Zero, followed by 4 tracks originally from the original F-Zero. It's not just Fire Field that's also in 99. White Land II, Sand Ocean and Red Canyon II are too. And Silence II is a lie. It's a remix of the original Silence, but nothing like the Silence II from the Satellaview/Ace League with the split with the ramped edges.

One of the few Japan-exclusive games that thankfully didn't need localization to understand and play. Man, this game looks sick, though! I kind of hope they add content from this game to F-Zero 99!

Man I miss playing F-Zero games, I never got to play GP Legend or Climax back when I had a GBA. I did own Maximum Velocity and put lots of hours into it, it was hard as f*** but I still managed to unlock most vehicles MK Falcon II was cool. Hope F-Zero GX Remastered is coming, the only vehicle I never unlocked in that game was Pink Spider. Mission 7 on Very Hard was crazy.

45:04 sadly no, little wyvirn has stat line of EBB, making it similar to queen meteor, but sacrificing a lot of acceleration for a small top speed increase
