I think GX is one of the best, if not the best arcade racer ever made. 30 instead of the standard 6 or 8 ppl on the track. Add pilot profiles, movies, hell - even their machine parts have names in the game. In addition to that, you can unlock the entire content of AX in it - which is a standalone arcade machine game itself (!). You have at least 4 different techniques to get around a corner, multiple ways of boosting, so there's a really high skill ceiling - met by game modes that actually deserve to be called VERY HARD. Whatever other games try to give you, GX gives you plenty more. Honestly, if you ask me, Nintendo is afraid their next F-Zero can't stand up to this, bc it's a timeless classic 10/10.

F-ZERO GX was one of the first Nintendo games to ever feature rendered CGI endings (and cutscenes). That was something truly special back then. I completed the game with every character to unlock all the videos. Those endings, and the profile section (and the story mode) gave all characters a bit of personality that was lacking in former F-ZERO games. F-ZERO GX is for F-ZERO what Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. is for Super Smash Bros.: EVERYONE IS HERE. I respect for SEGA/Amusement Vision to go that far adding all characters, and all that bonus material and making it a standout title that feels COMPLETE and packed with extras. They made sure that not one single byte on the disc was left unused.
