Ok, so Black Shadow is pretty much a TERRORIST who goes about blowing up shit and setting it on fire while dancing about in his full body latex suit - and he's still allowed to race? Not only that, he creates a evil clone of another racer somehow using magic given to him by the freakin' DEVIL or some shit like that and HES allowed to race too?! Who the fuck runs this championship? I mean maybe if he was doing this shit in secret or using a disguise or something like Captain Falcon was when he was undercover as a nobody pilot DRIVING THE BLUE FALCON - but he's on TV dancing around and giggling like a maniac while talking about the grand prix. This is so camp, and I love it so much.

It was SUPPOSED to be bad and cheesy. In F-Zero X, everything was presented as a corny, over the top comic book, with deathmetal inspired music. In GX, Sega went with a more of a bad anime/manga vibe with super cheesy 80s style rock ballads. It embraces the cheese to it's fullest possible extent. The whole series has always been poking fun at itself through the worst of corny sci-fi and yet never blinking while it does so. The voices were over dramatic and weirdly fitting for the same reason. (and probably also because they're just bad. it's still a nintendo game.)

I remember buying this game the day it came out, beating all the Grand Prix on hard difficulty and once that was done i was shocked to find a story mode. I just sorta missed it. So i played it and got past the first mission no problem. Then i got to the second chapter, and hit a brick fucking wall. It was the steepest learning curve i experienced at that point and yet somehow i beat the entire story mode (I will be accepting autographs after). But the announcer saying "mission failed" is forever etched into my brain.

FZero is truely an unearthed oil well for Nintendo they haven't quite realized yet. The amount of content they could generate for this franchise that fans would eat up is truely staggering imo. A new game, an anime maybe even a live action? I'm pretty confident we will see this one day. The source material in this game is simply too cool and interesting to leave on the table.

God, I wish they would make a 3D world like the Sci-Fi city shown in F-Zero GX. I love the way it looks! It would make a great Cyberpunk style game but instead of killing its just a ton of racing.

Words cannot express the absolute elation that I felt in my body and mind when I finally completed every story mission on “Very Hard” and finally unlocked Spade! That started me off on beating every Grand Prix cup on Very Hard with EVERY racer so I could unlock their videos! But I finally did it!!

@@SabeNo-rh7mb Ironically, the Very Hard difficulty was easier than the Hard setting owing to the extra lap. By the time that I finished the Very Hard, only eight racers were still on the track (both Black Shadow and Blood Falcon crashed on their own accord)
