F066 Error and Reset - Miele T1 Active Plus Eco TCE520WP

Resetting the F066 Error on the Miele T1 Active Plus Eco Heat Pump Dryer.

4 likely fixes
1. Something covering the intake fan vent on the front right of the machine
2. Dryer is too loaded and the rear ventilation holes are covered
3. The inside door filters. Both of them. Clean with damp cloth.
4. The likely cause is the foam/sponge inside the access door at the bottom front left of the machine. Clean by vacuuming, wiping the dust off or under the tap as shown in the video.

Thanks Mr. Reset for your video, there's some great tips, But if you read the 'Operating Manual' regarding cleaning the sponge type filter behind the bottom left, it actually says you can wash it in your washing machine, using a laundry bag. 😉 Also the bottom right hand corner vent, is a vent for a small fan that cools the refrigerant system. That area too should be regularly checked, so that the lint doesn't build up and prevent the cooling fan from doing its job. 😉

Also found this option from a user on another site which to have sorted the F66 fault....so defo worth a try: "I experienced the "Clean out airways" message and beeping error with my Miele T8722 dryer. Open the door and take out the two-quarter, semicircular vents. At the bottom of the section, i.e., 30 mins past, of the airway inlet, you will see a chrome cylinder sensor inside. Clean this with a vacuum cleaner brush, then a wet toothbrush and vac again to dry it. Mine had a layer of fine engrained dust on it. Cleaning it, fixed the problem."

Thank you for this video……have been plagued with these alarms since I purchased this dryer…….you pointed out some important issues as using damp cloth on door filters and rim of door. Also have made it a routine to wash filter weekly.

The foam filter will need to be cleaned regularly. I usually clean mine between 10-15 uses depending on what had been dried.

You can remove the lower grille on the right and clean that too.

Why does this thing need 3 filters man, I've never seen a dryer this needy. Every other dryer I've ever had only had one filter and never had an issue.

Because it is a heat pump dryer. Most dryers just dump out the air once they're done. This one recycles it and removes the water with an inbuilt heat pump. As heat-pumps have small fins on their heat exchanges they need to be sure that they don't get clogged up. Many heatpump dryers can skimp on the 3rd filter and this causes them to plug up after a year or so of use.

The 066 error means the machines air sensor is reading it’s not getting enough clean air for the heat pump to work. If the filters are clean and importantly dry then you could have a sensor which is potentially dirty. It may require a call out for that to be looked at.

Hi, the F066 is an air flow error. If you have followed everything mentioned and given the foam filter time to fully dry there really isn’t too much left to check externally. There could be dust buildup inside the machine itself. It could get there from either not cleaning the filter regularly or from obstruction from the vent at the front. If this is not the case it could be the air flow sensor itself. I know e-spares sell replacement air flow sensors, however I am no expert in replacing these.

I'm in the same boat as you. Dryer is 16 months old, just out of warranty, and I just discovered that Miele does not offer any service support in our area. They also will not provide me with any service documentation, as they claim it does not exist (real nice). I now have to decide whether to start throwing expensive parts at it and hope that the problem is eventually fixed, or cut my losses and get a machine from a manufacturer who will support it. This machine is one of my worst purchasing decisions ever.

Thanks for your comment. It depends on the perspective I suppose. You could say the error code was reset. Seen as there is not a physical reset button, there are however actions which reset the code. I showed the actions required to do this.

Thanks for watching the video. Your comments are important to me. It took me a while to detect what you were saying as you put a typo. The reset is down to how you perceive what reset actually is. If you follow the steps the error goes away and is ‘reset’ and allows the machine to run. I hope this now makes sense to you.
