Miele Dryer Stops BEEPING! (T1 EcoSpeed & 8kg TWF 640 WP)

This is the most horrible user documentation I've ever seen. The photos are incorrect, the "description" is so unhelpful and this "almost" got me to the programmable function. It's like Goldlilocks, you can't press too hard or too long, but not too soft or too little until you see the programmable function. Finally, it just appeared after my 10th time trying. For my W1 model, the washer actually has a buzzer function you can just press off on the front; the dryer is P19 like your washer. In any event, THANK YOU!

@John LHS & Renee: Thank you so much for your insights. I have tried the approach shown in the video at least 30 times. I have used different fingers, different amounts of finger pressure, etc. No luck. I get to the point where the START blinks but it does not convert to that programming screen with arrows. I live in a concrete warehouse loft with ~20 feet ceilings so you know this beeping is obnoxious and echoes for added “enjoyment.” 😉 Holler back if you can offer any other suggestions. Thank you!

I can not get to the programme section either! It keeps blinking but then turns off. I am going crazy 😔

Hi @STC and @Nihan! I just tested this again and was able to reproduce your issue. After pressing and holding the Start button with the door open, then closing the door, seeing the Start button blink = if I remove my finger BEFORE the Start button lights up solid Green again it will not go to the programmable features section. However, if I continue pressing & holding the Start button after it stops blinking and until it lights up solid Green again => then when I release, the programmable features section appears! Hope this works for you too :)

@@Chefdadadino Thank you, John! I'll try again with the above in mind. Wish we could link Miele to this thread since they're asleep at the wheel. These companies keep making appliances/products with countless USELESS features, e.g., when would anyone need to control their refrigerator, washer, dryer via Bluetooth! (lol) My dishwasher has a complex delayed start feature because ....? ;-) Meanwhile, the most basic features (turn on/off notifications) are missing or hidden. Rant over. Thank you, my friend.

I hope you one day realise how much you have done for others with this video. I just don’t understand why Miele has introduced this beep 🤷🏻‍♂️ it drove us crazy as well 😢 approached Miele and they were not able to help me. They sent a technician and he was able to help me… ridiculous beep!

Thank you❤ your video has been very helpful! I also have a washing machine - Miele WSF 363 WCS PowerWash 2.0. For anyone with the same issue, the code for the buzzer for the washing machine is P12, and the default is "02" (very loud), change it to "00". If you still want to know when the machine/dryer has finished, just connect the App and get a silent notification to your phone. Good night!

I had tried it a dozen times by following the steps in the manual, and I usually pride myself in having an engineer's mind, but I wasn't able to get into the programming mode. They should have a selection of sounds you can choose for the beeping alarm thing. Water noises / sea noises , general warm mallet or marimba like tones , and other beeping tones if that is your thing. For the money we pay for them it makes sense.
