The thing is that this game was way more simpler, more arcadish if I can say like that, less details and the 100% focus on the gameplay, funplay, we really enjoyed the game completely just the way it was. Now with any new game, we have more and more details, which makes the game just another game.

@f0Rest TV Before it was smooth because we were on cs 1.6 3D so 100 fps was good. Steam has making big updates which now we've got CS 1.6 HQ ---> high quality. It mean game is getting slower.If you want to have same feeling as before online like in lan you have two change two things in your console. fps_override 1 fps_max 144 if you got 144Hz or 240Hz if you have 240Hz. Let me know if you feel something diferent ? cheers.

Unsilenced M4 is more accurate and does more damage in 1.6, no scoping with awp wasn't accurate in this game. All the gun sounds were cooler. The AWP was balanced because you could wallbang and put pressure on awpers as soon as they took one shot and revealed their position. Wall banging in general is much more exciting when it's not just 1 or 2 panels on the map. It's what made CS, CS. Your bhopping in this vid wasn't the best example, but it just feels way more fun in general (especially if the server sets sv_accelerate to 100). Smokes weren't 100% opaque so up close they weren't super intimidating but they definitely provided cover from further away except for those with very acute vision. The way they made smokes opaque in later versions of CS really ruin the pacing overall in my opinion....original CS was much faster, you could dominate by running but you couldn't exactly run and gun, the submachine guns were mostly useless beyond 2nd round...till they made them kid friendly. If I had the abilities to mod CS2 I would make the maps 1.5x bigger to make it look more like 1.6 in scale and I would make the smokes 70% opaque instead of 100%, and I would make every wall out of pliwood or whatever one needs to do to make them wallbangable, and I'd just nix molitovs in general.
