Even though the 2013 season was dominated by Red Bull and Sebastian Vettel, it was still a special season. The last season of the V8 engines, Mark Webber's final season, Massa's final season for the Prancing Horse. It was also the year of many firsts as well. Hamilton's move to Mercedes; Gutierrez, Bottas, Chilton, Van der Garde and Bianchi making their debut, Hülkenberg moving to Sauber. You can always look into the smaller details of a ginormous picture and still have fun.

At least this season (2024), as of the summer break nobody has won 9 races in a row and there is a legitimate fight between Red Bull and McLaren for the WCC. I’d take this over 2013. The only things better about this era were the engines, the car sizes, and the variety in the schedule, because no country hosted more than one race, there were less street circuits, and the length of the season was more reasonable (19 races, not 24).

Well, Vettel has become an underdog 2019 despite his 4 titles, and most people just like to see the underdog do well, that's the simple psychology behind it. In 2013 the combination of his domination and his behaviour was unbearable even for me who had beared the Schumacher era, it was just too much for me. Very happy about the hybrid era.
