F1 2020 Motorland Aragon | Carlos Sainz Onboard | Assetto Corsa

Here's an F1 onboard lap at the Ciudad del Motor de Aragon, also known as the Motorland Aragon. This hotlap is in Assetto Corsa with Carlos Sainz in his F1 2020 McLaren MCL35 challenger.
The Aragon Motorland is an FIA Grade 1 circuit located in Alcaniz, Aragon, Spain which was designed by Hermann Tilke and was opened in 2009.
The circuit is used in MotoGP races, and it makes me wonder why the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix isn't hosted here instead of Barcelona.
The Motorland Aragoncould easily be used in Formula 1 as it is already Grade 1, and I believe that we could have some very exciting racing here.

And there could be an even better layout for F1. You should remove the left-double right-left before the long straight and put a chicane where the actual last right-hander of this section is. Then you would have two overtaking spots in a row.

I have been saying this for centuries, but most of my countrymen act as if Jerez was the only alternative choice to Barcelona, and imho even if Jerez is in its own right a bit of a legendary circuit, with modern F1 cars it would have even more boring racing than Barcelona-Catalunya.

Aragon has the same problem as Magny Course, it's in the middle of nowhere...that's the main reason why F1 won't go there

@@balbf1 Well Aragon was the fourth least visted MotoGP event in 2019 (only in front of Japan, Australia and Qatar) and therefore the least visited race in Europe ~100.000 visitors/weekend isn't bad for sure, but you can't say it's huge...

It's so much better venue for F1 than Barcelona-Catalunya by a factor of a lot :3 You could make a lap around Ascari, Monteblanco or Circuito de Iberia someday ^^

You should definitely try Virginia International Raceway (the outer layout of course). The track itself is really interesting and I think it would be fun in F1.

Great lap! I really like this track. It looks really fun to drive. For F1 I would remove corners 12 through 15 and leave a long straight. It would be great for overtaking! Nice video ! And thanks for making one more of my suggestions 👍🏻

This is a very cool looking track but I think 2 improvements need to be made 1. Get rid of that chicane and give us a long back straight 2. Get rid of the last chicane and let the last corner be the left hander that the motorcycles use

Right now there are 4 FIA Grade 1 tracks in Spain, Barcelona-Catalunya, Jerez, Motorland Aragón and Cheste. And actually only Aragon would give more exciting racing than Barcelona, both Cheste and especially Jerez aren't even that fit for modern F1 cars, racing there would be even more boring than it is in Barcelona. The only problem with Aragon is the facilities are in the middle of freaking nowhere.
