Using quick practice is part of what is causing your engine issues, don't know if anyone else has mentioned this. Each program you select in quick practice has a "Time" allocated to it. This "Time" is the amount of time your car is being simulated on track basically attempting to get the program done. Any time spent on the track of course is going to give the relevant amount of laps in wear. So if its a 60 minute quick practice session, you're running your engine for 60 minutes.

In the screen where it gives you an option to agree or disagree due to some sort of game-generated event, that voice is the same voice as casper akkerman in the braking point.
