Not really. They wanted race data so they couldn't retire both cars and Piastri's car was also a safety issue. If you watched the race they kept having to refill the hydraulics/pneumatic system so there was definitely an issue there.

Oscar was going OK until his car shat itself. It was an electrical issue and those things happen in motorsport. Lando at least got in a lot of pitstop practice. I'm not sure this track suits the McLaren anyway. It didn't last year. It's a long season and upgrades are coming as are more suitable circuits. I still think they could finish 4th or 5th this year. Zak knows what he's doing and knows that one must have patience in this sport. In three years they'll be top three once their new facilities kick in. Keep the faith.
